Accutone is proud to offer the perfect headset solution for small offices
and call centers - the T3 Headset Telephone Kit. A simple yet durable
design, T3 is basically a telephone terminal designed to pair with a headset
instead of a handset. Powered by AMS IC chipset, the T3 can provide
high-quality voice reception as well as automatic line-loss compensation.
Other features include ASP protection, 3-levels flash selection, LED-
indications, mute and digital volume controls.

T3 is compatible with a wide variety of Accutone telephone headsets, which
are considered the most comprehensive selections in the industry, in terms of
feature, reliability and audio quality. Equipped with speech-enhanced receiver
and noise-cancelling microphone, pairing our headsets with the T3 will greatly

(A) Main Interface and Functions
1. Telephone Headset Jack
Where T3 connects to an Accutone headset.
2. Dialing Number Keys
Standard keypad including 0-9, star and pound keys.
3. Flash Key
To activate transfer calls, conference call, and other functions...etc.
4. Mute LED-Indicator
Indicate to user whether the microphone has been muted.
5. Volume Down Key
Adjust the headset speaker volume down.
6. Mute Key
Mutes the headset microphone during a conversation.
7. Online LED-Indicator
Indicate to user whether the device has picked up a line.
8. Answer/Off-Hook Key
This key allows user to get a line, pick up or end a telephone call.
9. Redial Key
Redial the previous number dialed out using the device.
10. Volume Up Key
Adjust the headset speaker volume up.
11. Auto-Answer and Ringer Volume Switch
Turns on auto-answer function or adjust ringer volume for incoming calls.
12. Flash Time Selection Switch
Alters the time of the flash function from 100, 300 to 600 millisecond.
13. Line-In Jack
Where T3 connects to a telephone wall-jack.
14. Pulse/Tone Mode Switch
Select between dialing calls using pulse or tone.

(C) Connect to Headset
®
T3 is designed to pair with any series of Accutone Telephone Headset,
TM363VT is shown above. Make sure the (QD) Quick Disconnectors
are firmly connected as shown. Then, connect the RJ-9 Modular Jack of
the headset to the (7) Telephone Headset Jack of the T3 Telephone.
(B) Connect to Wall Jack
Use the RJ-11 Modular Patch Cable provided to connect the T3 headset
telephone to any standard Telephone Wall Jack via the (13) Line-In Jack
as illustrated.

(D) Testing Connection
Test your T3 Telephone’s setup by making a phone call to someone. Put
on your headset and make sure it’s connected properly as illustrated in
the previous section. Please make sure you wait 10 seconds after you
plug in your telephone before making your first call.
Press the (8) Answer/Off-Hook
Key to turn on the device and get
a line.
You should be able to hear a dial-
tone and the (7) Online LED-
Indicator should light up amber.
Make a call to make sure both
incoming and outgoing sounds are
normal.

(E) Initial Troubleshooting
If you do not see the online LED-indicator lighting up after you press the
answer key, make sure the other end of the modular cable has been
connected to a wall jack. Make sure the telephone network is direct
PSTN or ask your system solution provider if your PaBx system supports
T3.
If the LED-indicator lights up, but there’s not sound coming in or going
out of the headset, make sure you are using a standard Accutone
headset, not an alternative brand, as the settings are different across
brands. Also make sure the QD (quick disconnector) are firmly
connected.

(F) Adjusting Your Headset Speaker Volume
When you have successfully set up your T3, try adjusting the incoming
volume by pressing the (5) Volume Down Key or (10) Volume Up
Key.
(G) Muting During Calls
During a call, you can mute the
headset’s microphone so that the
person on the other side of the line
cannot hear you. Mute your call by
pressing the (6) Mute Key.
The (4) Mute LED-Indicator will
light up red, and will continue to do
so until you un-mute the device.

There are 5 levels of digital
volume adjustments. Once you
reach the maximum or
minimum setting, continue
pressing the keys will have no
effect.
Your volume setting is stored in
the phone’s memory, and does
not require setup everytime.

The mute status will be reset after the end of each telephone call. To be
sure of the muting status, remember to check whether the mute LED-
indicator is on or off.
(H) Selecting Ringer Volume & Auto-Answer
Select the level of the Ringtone
by adjusting the (11) Auto-
Answer and Ringer Volume
Switch.
Select the Aposition for Auto-
Answering, so each call is
immediately answered without
ringing.
Slide the switch to the large
“Bell” icon indicates loud ringer,
and the small “Bell” icon means
quieter ringer.
(I) Flash Button and Flash Time Selection
For some telephone system or
services, pressing the (3) Flash
Key can transfer a call to another
terminal, activate conference calls
or other special functions.
Different system may have
different flash time, select (12)
Flash Time Seletion Switch for
the 100, 300 or 600 ms flash time.

(J) Pulse/Tone Selection
Select Pulse or Tone dialing depending
on your preference or system
requirements by switching the (14)
Pulse/Tone Mode Switch.
Flip the device over to locate the
switch as illustrated.
(K) Redial Your Last Call
User can redial their previous call
by pressing the (9) Redial Key,
covering up to 31-digits only.
Please note that on some system
which requires dialing “0” or “9
before making a call may encounter
problems using this redial feature.

(L) Automatic Line Loss Compensation
T3 has an inbuilt call feature called Automatic Line Loss Compensation,
which provides higher reliability against drop calls. This feature is always
on and does not require any setup or activation.
