Beforeinstallinganoperatingsystem,downloadyourdesireddriverfromtheLenovoWebsite.Then,
copythedrivertoaUSBstoragedevice.
Iftheoperatingsystemisinstalledonastorageareanetwork(SAN),downloadthedriverforthehostbus
adapter(HBA)orconvergednetworkadapter(CNA)thatisconnectedtotheSAN.Then,copythedriverto
aUSBstoragedevice.
Notes:
•Y oucanloaddriverfilesusingaUSBstoragedeviceoradisc.Thestepsinthisdocumentarebasedon
thescenariothatyouuseaUSBstoragedevicetoloaddriverfiles.IftheUSBstoragedevicefailstoload

3.Afoldernamedas01or02iscreated.CopythefoldertotherootdirectoryofaUSBstoragedevice.
ToinstalltheSUSELinuxEnterpriseServer11operatingsystemwithServicePack3(x64),dothefollowing:
1.Inserttheoperatingsysteminstallationdiscintotheopticaldrivethatyouhavesetasthefirststartup
device.Then,starttheserverfromtheopticaldrive.
2.Inthe“SUSELinuxEnterpriseServerWelcome”window,dependingontheSATAconfigurationon
yourserve,dooneofthefollowing:
•IfyourSATAconfigurationissetasonboardRAID,selectInstallation.ThenpressEtoenter
editingmode.Modifythestartparameterfromlinuxe/boot/x86_64/loader/linuxtolinuxe
/boot/x86_64/loader/linuxbrokenmosules=ahci.
•IfyourSATAconfigurationissetasAdd–onRAID,selectInstallationandthenpressEnter.
•IftheoperatingsystemistobeinstalledonSANthroughISCIS/FCOE,dothefollowing:
a.SelectInstallation.
