Addendum to the R ear Projection SMART Board™ 2000i
Interactive Whiteboard Installation Guide
This addendum contains information that has changed since the release of the R ear Projection
2000i SM ART Board Interactive Whiteboard Installation Guide.
Projector
The printed installation guide states that your 2000i-DVX includes an NEC V T670 projector.
However, your 2000i may include an NEC V T676 projector instead. The V T676 is very similar to
the VT670 in appearance and in m any of its characteristics. The infor
mation in the printed
installation guide concerning the VT670 projector, including the instructions for its use, cleaning,
adjustment, rem oval and installation, also applies to the V T676 projector.
R ear Legs
Many of the graphics in the printed installation guide show the 2000i with four legs. The two rear
legs are not present on som e 2000i interactive whiteboards. This doesn’t affect the stability of the
unit.
Pow er M anagem ent
You can configure the 2000i’s internal com puter to stop sending an RGB video signal to the
projector after a period of inactivity. The printed m anual incorrectly states that w hen the internal
com puter is the 2000i’s active display
source, the inactivity period triggers the projector to wait for
30 minutes and then go into Standby m ode. The projector actually waits for approximately five
minutes before going into Standby mode.
NOTES
• W hen the projector is displayi
ng a com posite or S-video source, the projector w on’t go into
Standby m ode after a period of inactivity.
• M ake sure the projector is in Standby mode outside of normal, daily (eight hour) operation. In
Standby m ode, the lam p turns of
f, but the projector rem ains on. Press the Lam p Off button on
the C ontrol P anel at the end of the day, and your projector rem ains in Standby m ode until you
press the Lam p On button the next day.
