K eep your phone and all accessories out of the reach
of sm all children or an imals. Sm all parts may cause
choking or serious injury if sw allow ed.

dam age your hearing. Use only the
minimum volum e setting necessary to hear
your conversation or music.

Install mobile phones and equipm ent with
caution
Ensure that any m obile phones or related equipm ent
installed in your vehicle are securely m ounted. A void
placing your phone and accessories near or in an air
bag deploym ent area. Improperly installed wireless
equipm ent can cause serious injury when air bags
inf
late rapidly.
Handle and disp o se of batteries and chargers
with care
•Use only Sam sung-approved batteries and ch argers
specifically designed for your phone. Incom patible
batteries and chargers can cause serious injuries or
dam age to your phone.
N ever dispose of batteries in a fire. Follow all local
reg ulations when disposing used bat
teries.
N ever place batteries or phones on or in heating
devices, su ch as microw ave ovens, stoves, or
radiators. Batteries may explode when overheated.
N ever crush or puncture the battery. A void
exposing the battery to high external pressu re,
which can lead t
o an internal short circuit and
overheating.
Avoid interference with pacem akers
Maintain a minimum of 15 cm (6 inches) between
m obile phones and pacem akers to avoid potential
interference, as recom m ended by m anufacturers and
the independent research group, Wireless Technology
R esearch. If you have any reason to su spect that your
phone is interfering wit
h a pacem aker or other medical
device, turn off the phone immediately and con tact the
m anufacturer of the pacem aker or medical device for
guidance.

Turn off the phone in potentially explosive
environm ents
Do not use your phone at refuelling points (service
stations) or near fuels or chem icals. Turn off your
phone w henever directed by warning signs or
instructions. Your phone could cause explosions or
fire in and around fuel or chem ical storage and
transfer areas or blasting areas. Do not store or carry
flam m able liquids, g ases, or explosive materials in the
sam e com partment as the phone, its parts, or
accessories.
Reduce the risk of repetitive motion injuries
When sending text m essag es or playing gam es on
your phone, hold the phone with a relaxed grip, press
the buttons lightly, use sp ecial features that reduce the
num ber of buttons you have to press (su ch as
tem plates and predictive text), an d take frequen t
br
eaks.
Drive safely at all times
A void using your phone while driving and obey all
regulations that restrict the use of m obile phones while
driving. Use hands-free accessories to increase your
safety when possible.
Follow all safety warnings and regulations
Com ply with any regulations that restrict the use of a
m obile phone in a certain area.
Use only Sam sung-approved accessories
Using incom patible accessories may dam age your
phone or cause injury.

hospitals or health care facilities. Follow all
reg ulations, posted warnings, and directions from
medical personnel.
Turn off the phone or disab le the wireless
functions when in an aircraft
Y our phone can cause interference with aircraft
equipm ent. Follow all airline regulations and turn off
your phone or sw itch to a m ode that disab les the
wireless functions when directed by airline personnel.
Protect batteries and chargers from dam age
A void exposing batteries to very cold or very hot
tem peratures (below C/32° F or above 45° C/
115° F). Extrem e tem peratures can reduce the
charging capacity and life of your batteries.
•Prevent batteries from co ntacting metal objects, as
this
can create a connection betw een the + and -
terminals of your batteries and lead to tem porary or
permanent battery dam age.

fields for extended periods of time.
Avoid interference with other electronic
devices
Your phone em its radio frequency (RF) signals that
may interfere with unshielded or improperly sh ielded
electronic equipm ent, su ch as pacem akers, hearing
aids, medical devices, and other electronic devices in
hom es or vehicles. Consult the m anufacturers of
your
electronic devices to so lve any interference problem s
you experien ce.

Use your phone in the normal position
Avoid contact with your phones internal antenna.
Allow only qualified person n el to service
your phone
Allow ing unqualified personnel to service your phone
may result in dam age to your phone and will void your
warranty.
Ensure maximum battery and charger life
•Avoid charging batteries for more than a week, as
overcharging may sh o rten battery life.
•Over time, unused batteries will disch arge and must
be recharged before use.
•Disconnect chargers from pow er sources when not
in use.
•Use batteries only for their
intended purpose.
Handle SIM cards and memory cards with
care
•Do not rem ove a card while the phone is
transferring or accessing information, as this could
result in loss of data and/or dam age to the card or
phone.
•Protect cards from strong sh o ck s, static electricity,
and electrical noise f
rom other devices.
•Frequent writing and erasing will shorten the life
span of memory cards.
•Do not touch gold-co loured contacts or terminals
with your fingers or metal objects. If dirty, wipe the
card with a so ft cloth.

Em ergency calls from your phone may not be p o ssible
in so m e areas or circum stances. Before trav elling in
rem ote or undeveloped areas, plan an alternate method
of contacting em ergency services personnel.
Specific Absorption Rate (SA R) certification
information
Y our phone conforms to European Union (EU )
standards that limit hum an exposure to radio
frequency (RF) energy em itted by radio and
telecom m unications equipm ent. T hese standards
prevent the sale of m obile phones that exceed a
maximum exposure level (know n as the Specific
Absorpt
ion Rate, or SA R ) of 2.0 watts per kilogram of
body tissu e.
During testing, the maximum SA R recorded for this
m odel was 0.499 watts per kilogram . In normal use,
the actual SA R is likely to be much low er, as the
phone has been designed
to em it only the RF energy
n ecessary to transm it a signal to the nearest base
station. By au tom atically em itting low er levels when
p o ssible, your phone reduces your overall exposure to
