must be informed immediately in writing of any complaints.
The period of guarantee begins on the date of transfer of risks, in the case of special systems and softwa re on the date of commissioning,
at latest 30 days after the transfer of risks. In the event of justified notice of complaint, Barco can repair the fault or provide a replacement
at its own discretion within an appropriate period. If this measure proves to be impossible or unsuccessful, the purchaser can demand a
reduction in the purchase price or cancellation of the contract. All other claims, in particular those relating to compensation for direct or
indirectdamage, and also damage attributedtotheoperationofsoftwareaswellas to other services provided by Barco, being a component
ofthe system or independent service, will be deemed invalid provided the damage is not proven to be attributed to the absence of properties
guaranteed in writing o r due to the intent or gross negligence or part of Barco.
If the purchaser or a third party carries out modifications or repairs on goo
ds delivered by Barco, or if the goods are handled incorrectly,
in particular if the systems are commissioned operated incorrectly or if, afte r the transfer of risks, the goods are subject to influences not
agreed upon in the contract, all guarantee claims of the purchaser will be rend ered invalid. Not included in th e guarantee coverage are
system failures which are attributed to pro grams or special electroni
c circuitry provided by the purchaser, e.g. interfaces. Normal wear as
well as normal maintenance are not subject to the guarantee provided by Barco either.
The environmen tal conditions as well as the servicing and maintenance regulations specified in the this manual must be complied with by
the customer.

WARNING: Be sure that the projector is p ow ered dow n and that the power cord is rem oved from the wall
outlet.
Wait until the projector is cooled down before startin g the procedure.

2.1 Description
Purpose
The DVI input board kit allows to add/rep lace i n a Barco iCon projector :
1 DVI input on DVI connector
1 RGBHV input on D15 connector
The flexibility of the iCon input section allows to add this input on one of the 4 input slots provided on the backplane (PM P).
The input is automatically detected and the configuration of the input parameters is done at first startup.

Upgrade/replacement
The f ollowing procedure illustrates the replacement of a DVI input board. The same operations must be done in case one wants to
add a second DVI input to the projector. Instead of removing (the defective) D VI board one has then to remove the board installed
on the desired layer.
Layer 5 is used for the DVI output and cannot be used to install an input board.
Layer 4 is free and can be used to install an extra i nput.

How to remove the cable basket ?
1. Press on the top of the cable basket so as to unlock the top part from the projector.

2. Pull the cable basket so as to free it from the bottom locks.

How to install the cable basket
1. Place the 2 feet of the cable basket in to the 2 bottom locks of the projector.

2. Bring the basket towards the projector and press on it so as to lock it at the top.
3.1.2 Removing the lens cover

How to remove the lens cover ?
1. Loosen the 2 indicated screws.

2. Open the protective c loth (enlarge the opening) and pull the lens cover gently towards the front of the projector.
3.1.3 Removing the installed lens

1. Disconnect the lens from the motor connection board
2. Support the lens with one hand.

3. Remove the 2 screws fixing the U S B connectors.
Note: the 2 screws are fixed with 2 nuts on the rear of the plate : remove gently the plate forwards to access the nuts.

Tip: In case one must only access the side screws o n the PMP it is not necessary to loosen the USB connector.
4. Remove the plate or flip it to the side in case the USB conn ector has not been removed.

3.1.8 Removing the Server
What has to be done ?
Depending on the type of plate 1 piece/2pieces) the removal procedure is slightly different :
1. 1 piece plate : the plate must be removed

8. Remove the LVDS connections from the PMP(only in case the server must be completely removed).

9. Remove the ATX power cable from the power box (only in case the server must be completely removed).

10. Remove the Ethernet connection and the small connector f ro m the PMP (only if server must be completely removed).
Tip: The small cable is connecte d on the back of the PMP, access to the connector is made easy by removing the connector
in front of it (only if server must be completely removed).
