Barco provides a guarantee relating to perfect man ufacturing as part of the legally stipulated terms of guar antee. O n receipt, the purchaser
must im mediately inspect a ll delivered goods for dam age incurred during transport, a s well as for material and manufacturing faults Barco
must be informed immediately in writing of any complaints.
The pe riod of guarantee begins on the date of transfer of risks, in the case of special systems and software on the date of c omm issioning,
at latest 30 days after the transfer of risks. In the ev ent of justied notice of complaint, Bar co can repair the fault or p rovide a replacement
at its own discretion w ithin an appropri
ate period. If this measure proves to be impos sible or uns uccessful, the purchaser can deman d a
reduction in the purchase price or c ancellation of the contract. All other claim s, in particular those relating to com pensa tion for direct or
indirect damage, and also da mage attributed to the operation of software as well as to other services provided by Barco, b eing a com ponent
of the system or independent servic
e, will be deemed invalid provided the damage is not proven to be attributed to the absence of properties
guaranteed in writing or due to the intent or gross negligence or part of Bar co.
If the purchaser or a third party carries out m odications or repairs on go ods delivered by B arco, or if the goods are handled incorrectly,
in particular if the systems a re commissioned operated incorrectly or if, after the transfer of risks, the goods are subject to inuenc es not
agreed upon in the contract, all guarantee claims of the purchaser will be r endered invalid. Not included in the guarantee cove rage a re

well as normal maintenance are not subjec t to the guarantee provided by Bar co either.

WARNING: This procedure is intended for use only by BARCO authorized technicians.
WARNING: Be sure that the device is powered down and that the power co rd is rem oved from the wall o utlet.
Wait until the device is cooled down before starting the procedure.
CAUTION: Wear a w rist band w hich is connected to the ground while handling the electrostatic discharge
sensitive parts.

2.1 Description
Purpose
The RGB/Video input board allows to co nnect the following sources to the device:
1 RG B (analog) input on 5 BNC c onnectors
1 com posite v ideo on a BNC connector
1 S-Video input on a mini-DIN connector
The exibility of the device’s input section allows to add this input on one of the input slots.
The input is automatically detected and the co nguration of the input parameters is done at rst startup.

Upgrade/replacement
The following procedure illustrates t he replacem ent of an RGB input board. The sam e operations mus t be done in case one wants
to add a third RG B input to the projector. Instead of removing (the defective) RGB board one has then to remove the board installed
on the desired lay er.
Layer 5 is used for the DVI output and can not be used to install an input board.
Layer 4 is free and can be used to install an extra input.

How to remove the lens cover ?
1. L oosen the 2 indicated screws.

2. O pen the protective cloth (enlarge the opening) and pull the lens cover gently from the front of the projector.

3. P ull out the locking pin and ip the lens loc king handle to the r ight (with the index nger) at the same time.
4. P ull the lens gently out of the lens holder.
3.1.3 Removing the rear cover

3. Remove the 2 screws xing the USB connec tors.
Note: the2screwsarexed with 2 nuts on the rear of the plate : remove gently the plate forwards to access the nuts.

Tip: In case one m ust only access the side screws on the P MP it is no t necessary to loos en the USB connector.
4. Remove the plate or ip it to the side in c ase the USB connector has not be en removed.

When an Audio or other extension module is used on the extra PCI slot, the 2 screws xing this module should
also be remo ved.
3.1.7 Removing the Server
What has to be done ?
Depending on the type o f plate 1 piece/2pieces) the removal pro

Tip: The small cable is connected o n the back of the PMP, access to the con nector is m ade easy by removing the connector
in front of it (only if server must be com pletely removed).
