Fig. 1: Hose types
Mounting the cooling water system
Before mounting the hoses, it is recommended to check that all parts are included according to the specification in
this Mounting Instruction.
• Mount the threaded nipples in the top and side covers first. The threaded nipples are fitted without gaskets
as they seal against the cover by means of the sealing edge A, as illustrated in Fig. 2.
Fig. 2: Threaded nipple
Tighten the threaded nipples to a torque of 80 Nm using a JW26 spanner.
• Mount the cooling water hoses and fittings as shown in the following drawings. Before assembling the parts,
apply a thin layer of grease to the cone, O-ring and thread, which facilitates the mounting and makes it eas-
ier to disassemble the parts, if necessary. Tighten the union nut manually, and then tighten it 1/4 to 1/2 turn
using a JW24 spanner. Note that the rubber hoses must not touch the compressor covers or discharge
pipes. If necessary, it is recommended to secure the hoses with plastic strips.
• Mount the inlet and discharge nipples, which have outside ISO 7-1, 1/2" threads, and connect the hoses to
the water supply system.
• When connecting the hoses to the water supply system, be aware of the stream direction of the water as
shown in the drawings.
See the Engineering manual for information about water consumption, pressure loss, operating limits and regulation
of the water cooling system.
