Zundstadt Steps #1
B28-ZT-060
Please read these instructions fully before starting construction.
PVA or equivalent glue will be required to stick sections together.
Sand paper can be used to gently clean any joints.
A sharp modelling knife will be required to remove sections from the sprue. Please use knives with due care and remember
to cut away from yourself at all times.
During the construction of this model, you may find it convenient to use pegs / elastic bands to hold pieces in place while
you allow glue to dry.
Remove one side wall and the step sections from the
sprue.
Glue the top step into place. Note the rest of the
steps then alternate in their patterns.
Glue the steps into place, ensuring the wider end of
the step sits slighting underneath the one above it (see
pic).
Starting with the top step, carefully align its lugs
with the holes in the other side wall. Work your way
down each step in turn until all the steps are in their
holes. Then glue the bottom step into place.
This stage is quite tricky so be patient.
Take the base and the support from the sprue.
Glue the support into position.
Glue the back wall into place.
Align the lugs on the top step with the holes in the
back wall (note the angle of the steps at this point)
Push the steps firmly into the back wall and then slot
the lugs on the bottom of the side walls into the base.
Glue the outer plate to the back wall.
Glue the side plates into place, aligning them with the
inner walls.
Finally glue the bottom place into position.
The Finished Steps.
We painted ours using a black spray undercoat and
then carefully drybrushed it with three successively
lighter shades of blue/grey (house) emusion paint.
