INSTALLATION
Client Information: The information
in this installation
instruction is intended for use only by skilled
technicians who have the proper tools, equipment, and
training to correctly and safely add equipment to your
vehicle. These procedures should not be attempted by
“do-it-yourselfers.”
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
NOTE: For Hybrid vehicle, make sure not to
d
isconnect the negative cable from the battery three
minutes after turning the engine switch to OFF.
2. Remove the pull pocket cap and the self-tapping
screw
.

3. Remove the left front door panel and unplug the
vehicle connectors.

4. Remove the courtesy light and unplug the vehicle
connector.

5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 on the right side of the
vehicle.
6. Secure the left light harness 2-pin connector and left

ght harness to the left light with one wire tie.

7. Install the left light to the left front door panel with two
self-tapping screws, two collars, and two brackets.

8. Plug the harness 2-pin connector into the left light
harness 2-pin connector and plug the vehicle 2-pin
connector into the remaining harness 2-pin
connector. Secure the 2-pin connectors and harness
to the vehicle harness with one wire tie.

9. Secure the right light harness 2-pin connector and
right light harness to the right light with one wire tie.
NOTE: Make sure to check the shape (identification

10. Install the right light to the right front door panel with
two self-tapping screws, two collars, and two
brackets.

11. Plug the harness 2-pin connector into the right light
harness 2-pin connector and plug the vehicle 2-pin
connector into the remaining harness 2-pin
connector. Secure the 2-pin connectors and harness
to the vehicle harness with one wire tie.

12. Check that all wire harnesses are routed properly
and all connectors are plugged in.
13. Install all removed parts.
14. Connect the negative ca
ble to the battery.
15. Press and hold the audio unit power button for
2 seconds to restore the audio and navi (if equipped)
syst
em functions.
16. Set the clock on vehicle without navigation.
17. If necessary, restore the systems back to normal
op
eration as described in the service manual if
necessary.
Check the Operation of the Pattern Projectors
18. Make sure the light comes on when you open each
fr
ont door.
