Subject: CO2 Control Kit (P.N. 020003638)
DO Adhere to all National and Local Plumbing and Electrical Safety Codes.
DO Turn “OFF” incoming electrical service switches when servicing, installing, or repairing equipment.
DO Check that all flare fittings on the carbonation tank(s) are tight. This check should be performed with a wrench to ensure a
quality seal.
DO Inspect pressure on Regulators before starting up equipment.
DO Use caution when handling metal surface edges of all equipment.
DO Handle CO
2 cylinders and gauges with care. Secure cylinders properly against abrasion.
DO Store CO
2 cylinder(s) in well ventilated areas.
DO NOT Throw or drop a CO
2 cylinder. Secure the cylinder(s) in an upright position with a chain.
DO NOT Connect the CO2 cylinder(s) directly to the product container. Doing so will result in an explosion causing possible death or
injury. Best to connect the CO
2 cylinder(s) to a regulator(s).
DO NOT Store CO2 cylinders in temperature above 125°F (51.7°C) near furnaces, radiator or sources of heat.
DO NOT Release CO
2 gas from old cylinder.
Installing CO
2 Control Kit
1. Position CO
2 Control Panel on Refrigeration Unit, or an
appropriate mounting surface about 5 ft. from beverage supply.
Mark the mounting holes at top and bottom of panel and secure
panel with fasteners.
2. Cut and route the appropriate length of beverage lines from
Freezoni Pressure Regulator with a barb tee and attach to Freezoni
Carbonator Tank and to the Freezoni Bag-In-Box pumps.
NOTE: Install High Pressure Regulator on CO
2 tank. Cut and
route the appropriate length of beverage line from High
Pressure Regulator to the tank CO
2 gas fitting on Changeover
Valve # 1 on Panel as shown in Figure 1
3. Cut and route the appropriate length of beverage line from Bulk
CO
2 source to the Bulk CO2 gas fitting on Changeover Valve #1
on Panel as shown in Figure 1.
4. Cut and route the appropriate length of beverage line from Air
Pump/Tank to the Air Pump and Tank inlet fitting on Changeover
Valve #2 on Panel as shown in Figure 1.
5. Cut and route the appropriate length of beverage line from
Changeover Valve outlet #2 to Fountain Pressure Regulator.
6. Check for leaks and set regulator pressure appropriately.
To Avoid Serious Injury Read the following warnings before
beginning an installation. Failure to do so may result in serious
injury OR possible death.
