The IGBT made by Toshiba/Mitsubishi used for quite some time in our PowerMaster line: 350, 500 & 500P
is not manufactured anymore.
Our engineering team has qualified a new component made by Semikron which will be used in the
PowerMasters units manufactured “After” April 1st, 2009.

As a result of this change, some of the spare parts required to replaced a failed IGBT’s have changed.
The purpose of this bulletin is to explain those changes.
Part(s) required are dependent on type of IGBT in the unit !
¾ If you have the new Semikron IGBT's (unit manufactured “after” April 1st, 2009) then, only the standard
individual part(s) are required. Please notice that for your convenience the p/n
707730PKD already
contains “2” IGBT’s per kit.
¾ If you have the old Toshiba IGBT then, the p/n
830962 with the new IGBT's and Capacitors PCB's
will be required.

Note: The IGBT fans are Rarely to be replaced but this information is important in case you have to order
an IGBT fan:
¾ If you have the new Semikron IGBT (unit manufactured “after” April 1st, 2009) then, you need to order
the p/n 7978062PKD.
¾ If you have the old Toshiba IGBT then, you need to order the p/n 830353
