“Exceeding Customer Expectations Through Performance Excellence"
Valued Thermadyne Customer,
It has come to our attention that in some cases the Contactor inside the Hefty II Feeder will only
“click-click” repetitively when the trigger gun is pressed.
The problem occurs when the MIG gun has one or both of the gun switch wires shorted to the Positive
weld circuit due to overheating from exceeding the current rating of the gun or other type of abuse.
This situation has been duplicated in our Engineering Lab by connecting the trigger wires to the
Positive fitting of the MIG gun.
In the event that you experience this problem we suggest to bring the MIG gun to an authorized
repair facility to be checked out.
For More information Contact:
Cut or damaged switch wires may get in contact with the
Positive terminal of the MIG Gun “Shorted MIG Gun
making the Hefty II contactor to rapidly turn ON & OFF
making a loud “clicking” sound. In most cases this Shorted
Condition is not obvious in a visual inspection, please
bring your MIG Gun to an authorized repair facility
for full inspection.
