Special tools and workshop equipment required

♦Commercially available / 4 inch ratchet
♦ TORX 30
Removing
– Remove engine cover. Refer to
⇒ “5.1 Engine Cover with Air Filter Element”, page 28 .
– Disconnect the vacuum lines -arrows-.

– Remove the bracket -arrow- for the harness.
– Disconnect the electrical connections -1, 2 and 3-.
– Remove bracket for cable connector -arrows- from coolant
pipe.
Note
Open the nut with the left arrow just enough so that the bracket
can moved to the side.
– Carefully pry off linkage from intake flap motor -4-.
– Remove intake flap motor -5- .
Note
The illustration shows the intake manifold removed.
Installing
– Installation is in reverse order.
