Thank you for purchasing MPower CKM12
The CKM12 features 12 keys over-molded with a rubberized coating. The CKM12 requires only a
connection to an NMEA 2000® network to begin. Configure the CKM12 using Maretron N2KAnalyzer®
installed on a PC and an IPG100 or USB100 connected to the NMEA 2000® Network. CKM12 transmits
and receives NMEA 2000® PGN 127501. Each transmission of PGN 127501 reports the state of all key
positions every 15 seconds and each time a key is pressed. Each key has an LED that can be
configured to show the state of an MPower load controller ECB (Electronic Circuit Breaker) reported in a
received 127501 PGN. Assigning CKM12 control of an ECB or multiple ECBs is configured within the
MPower load controller(s) configuration while assigning CKM12's LEDs operation is configured within
the CKM12 unit's configuration.
CKM12 Features at a Glance:
CKM12 Hardware Dimensions:
Apply the CKM12 unit to control any Maretron Load Controller device such as Maretron's CLMD16 or
CLMD12 by connecting CKM12 to the same NMEA 2000® Network. The CKM12's Out of Box
Configuration allows for Toggle Operation of the first 12 Electronic Circuit Breakers on Maretron's
CLMD16 and CLMD12 Load Controller Modules. This will only occur if the CLMD16 or CLMD12 is on the
same NMEA 2000® Network as CKM12 and also has a default Out of Box Configuration. Please see the
Out of Box Configuration details in this Quick Start Guide for information on how the
CKM12's default configuration will behave when a CLMD16 or CLMD12 is on the same
network with Out of Box Configuration.
Note: Depending on desired switch control, default configuration may not work for your application and
custom configuration will be needed using Maretron N2KAnalyzer®. Applying a CLMD16 and a CLMD12
containing default Out of Box Configurations or having two CKM12 units on the same NMEA2000®
network forces the need for custom configuration.
