Introduction
Inniti is designed for use in demanding outdoor environments. The units use the best video camera and
lens technology along with a at optical viewing window to eliminate image distortion. The window can be
wiped and washed. In addition to a precision pan and tilt mechanism the head is tted as standard with
an infra-red illuminator for improved night time range even where no other lighting is provided. Optionally
where target detection is paramount, the unit can be tted with a thermal imaging camera in addition to the
video camera. As a NetVu Connected IP camera build on the latest technology the Inniti IP supports 25pps
4CIF JPEG and MPEG-4 transmission as well is integrated camera recording to SD card or local network
attached storage using ATA over Ethernet.

Point&go provides the user with easy to use, fast, accurate telemetry control via an attached
monitor. With no need for a telemetry keyboard, users are able to use Pan & Tilt control of a
Dedicated Micros Inniti simply by clicking an area of the monitor. The camera will instantly respond,
positioning the selected area in the middle of the screen, ideal for tracking movement through a
scene.
ePTZ
Dedicated Micros ePTZ uses an advanced image ‘interpolation’ algorithm that reveals detailed
information that simple pixel-stretching digital zoom commands cannot. Users can operate ePTZ
as they would Analogue Zoom - moving around the scene and zooming in/out using the IR Remote
Control or a supported Keyboard - even on static analogue cameras. Electronic Zoom can be
carried out on both live and playback video. Providing the ability to retrospectively control and view
an image, a great aid in post-event analysis.
Absolute Positioning
Using Camera Selection Maps and the unique Absolute Positioning capability of Dedicated Micros
Inniti cameras, an operator can, with one mouse click, select a camera and send it to view an area
of the site (Pan and tilt). Absolute Positioning is ideal for following someone from camera to camera
around a site and greatly increases event response time, particularly for operators unfamiliar with a
site layout and camera location.
RF Interference warning
This is a class A product. In a unitstic environment this product may cause radio frequency
interference, in which case the user may be required to take adequate measures.
Product Safety
WARNING
Installation and servicing is only to be carried out by suitably qualied and
experienced personnel and should conform to all local codes.
Only power low voltage cameras from the provided power supply. Use only a Class
2 power supply with a maximum current of 1.5 amps and the wiring as specied in
the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA 70.

This camera range is designed for use in general purpose CCTV applications and has no other
purpose.
Only operate your camera between the temperatures of -40°C and +50°C. This low voltage camera

Camera Care
In order to avoid damaging your camera, note the following points:

Remove all packaging inserts and the protective lm from the unit cover before
using the camera.
This installation should be made by a qualied service person and should conform
to all local codes.

Marking by the symbol CE indicates compliance of this DM product to the Electromagnetic
Compatibility Directive 89/336/EEC, and the Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EEC of the European
Union. Such marking is indicative that this system meets the following technical standards.

Wall Mount Bracket
Unit Preparation
Ensure that the correct knockout has been removed to allow the cable to enter the bracket before
climbing to height.
When ever possible use the rear knock out of the bracket so that the cables are contained within the
bracket and routed directly through the wall. If this is not possible the externally routed cables (which
should be protected by running inside conduit) should enter the wall bracket via sealed M20 glands
into the two knock outs in the top face.
1. Loosen the six cap head screws that hold the protective lid to the body of the WMB
and lift it off. Let it hang on the retaining cord.

NOTE: Do not cut the retaining cord.
Note: There is a retaining washer on each screw which will come off if you loosen the screws too
much, which will allow the screw to drop out of the lid.
To install the WMB
Note: Refer to the Working at Height guidelines in your bright installer documentation.
1. Use the template in Appendix E of this manual to mark the mounting holes on the
wall. Ensure the mounting hole drilling positions do not line up with any mortar lines
and do not come within 25mm (1”) of a brick edge. Mount bracket to wall using
suitable xings for the type of wall construction.
2. Using a suitable bit, drill the four holes required. Fit suitable wall plugs in the holes.
3. Use the upper two mounting holes to position and secure the WMB to the wall, then
t the lower two mounting screws. Tighten the mounting screws securely.
4. Loosen the six cap head screws that hold the protective lid to the body of the Wall
Mount Bracket. Let it hang on the retaining cord.
NOTE: Shown inverted. Do not cut the retaining cord.
Note: There is a retaining washer on each screw which will come off if you loosen the screws too
much, which will allow the screw to drop out of the lid.
5. Ensure the water drain hole has been knocked out to allow drainage.

6. Feed the electrical connector through the central mounting hole and mate up to the
unit (ensure power is off when connecting).
7. Lift unit to bracket ange ensuring head of screws (previously tted M6X20 SOC
CAP HD A2 Screw) pass through keyhole slots. Twist to locate.
8. Tighten 4 off Inniti base mounting xings to 14N/m to secure.
9. Replace bottom plastic cover of bracket and tighten 6 off retained trim securing
screws.
10. Screws should be checked to ensure they are at 14N/m during maintenance visits.
Column mount
A. Mount column on a at base via the four holes in its base plate. These holes are
equi-spaced on a 101mm (4”) pitch circle diameter.
B. Feed the free end of the multiway control cable down the column and out through
the gland hole on its side. Fit the supplied gland to seal the hole. The free end of
the cable should be connected to the power supply unit.
C. Mate up the electrical connector to the unit (ensure power is off when connecting).
D. Lift unit to bracket ange ensuring head of screws (previously tted M6X20 SOC
CAP HD A2 Screw) pass through keyhole slots. Twist to locate.
E. Tighten 4 off Inniti base mounting xings to 14N/m to secure.
F. Screws should be checked to ensure they are at 14N/m during maintenance visits.
Additional Mounting Information
Refer to Appendix B - Dimensions for further information about the mounting points provided on the
base of the unit which comprise the following:
4x M6 blind threaded holes equi-spaced on a 63mm pitch circle diameter (PCD).
Used when attaching to the wall mount bracket or columns.
4x 6.5mm through holes equi-spaced on a 101mm (4”) PCD
Used with M6 cap head screws screwed into a suitable mounting plate, either using
threaded holes in the mounting plate or nuts.

Fit the Sunshield
The sunshield is supplied separately and should be attached to the unit before installation. Remove
the front and rear sunshield mounting screws which are located in position on the assembly.

Minimum conguration
The simplest connection possible to the Inniti would require the following;
The Mains supply (live, earth and neutral) is connected to the heavy duty connector block
mounted in the Power Supply Unit next to the PCB. Power select links (J2 & J3) should be set
to 24VDC (centre and arrowed pin bridged as shown above).
Note: The telemetry termination link J4 (TEL TERM) must not be tted.

Note: Whilst the Alarm and Relay inputs are not essential for minimum conguration, it is
recommended that they are connected to the PCB in case they are required in the future.
Note: The Multiway cable should be securely clamped to the chassis using the screw clamp
provided. The insulation should be stripped back to allow the clamp to contact the cable
foil sheath. All glands into the PSU should be securely tightened to prevent the ingress
of moisture. Details of the Multiway connection can be found in Appendix A

Ethernet can either be connected via RJ45 connection (P11) or a Cat5 unshielded
twisted pair cable can be punched down on connectors P1 an P2 using a suitable
croning tool.
Once routed through the bracket back to the PSU / termination unit, the cable from
the head should be terminated in J14 with colours as shown in the diagram.
BNC connectors and RS485 connector P16 are not used with the IP version
Connections to the relay output of the head are made via header P15
External alarm inputs to the head are connected via P8. If J1 is tted the lid tamper
switch SW1 (which is connected in series with alarm input AL4) is disabled.
Connecting the DVR to the Inniti (via PCB)
Video to the DVR is sent over Ethernet using NetVu Connected technology.

Conguring the Unit
Locating the Unit IP address
The unit is congured using on-board webpages. This can be done remotely once the unit has been
installed in its chosen location.
The IP address of the unit is required to access these pages. When the unit is connected to a DHCP
network for the rst time, its IP address is unlikely to be known without referring to the settings of the
network switch or router it is connected to.
The easiest way to open the webpages for the rst time and identify the assigned IP address (via the
Status page) is by connecting to the Unit using its DNS address.
The default DNS address for each unit is factory set to be its serial number. Therefore the address
can be found from the serial label on the unit or via the packaging the unit came in,
The DNS address can be typed directly into the address bar of a web browser.
Note: If subsequently the unit is assigned a xed IP address, its DNS address can no longer
be used
Note: The unit’s DNS address can be changed subsequently to something more memorable
or meaningful than its serial number by editing the System name option in the System
conguration page.
If a permanent IP address is not assigned to the unit, it will attempt to contact the DHCP server
every time it starts up, and periodically thereafter. The unit support zero-conguration networking
(sometimes known as Bonjour), this enables automatic discovery of computers, devices, and
services on IP networks. Zero-conguration uses industry standard IP protocols to allow devices to
automatically discover each other without the need to enter IP addresses or congure DNS servers.
By loading a suitable free add-on to your web browser such as Bonjour for Windows for Internet
Explorer or BonjourFoxy for FireFox zero conguration devices such as this unit can easily be
discovered and accessed.

Accessing the Conguration Web Pages
The unit is congured using the on-board web pages. To access these:
1. Launch a web browser, preferably on a PC on the same subnet as the unit.

2. Type the IP address of the unit into the address bar.
3. If prompted, enter a username and password. The default settings are;
username:dm and password:web.
4. The Main Menu page will be displayed.

System Settings
The menus under the System Settings heading allow the unit’s core settings to be viewed, changed
and the system software upgraded.
The System option displays details about the unit including the IP address, unit serial number, MAC
address and software version.
The Status page displays information about the unit’s operating condition, shows how long the unit
has been operating and the reason for the last reset. It also shows the camera status.
The Language page allows the system language to be set. The language can also be changed for
the current session only.
The Time and Date page allows the unit time and date settings to be adjusted, including setting
the timezone.
The PowerScript management pages allows individual PowerScripts to be disabled if required.

System
This menu shows the general information about the unit including the version of software installed,
the unit’s serial number and the allocated IP address.
Product Descriptor Details the product model.
Serial Number Identies the serial number of the specic unit.
PCB Serial Number Displays the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) serial number of the unit.
Product Code Displays a code identifying the unit’s specication.
Earliest Recording Displays the date/time of the earliest recording held on the unit.
System Name This eld can be edited to allocate a name to the unit. This is
displayed when the unit is accessed via NetVu ObserVer and is
sent when transmitting information to a Remote Video Response
Centres (RVRC). The default value is the MAC address prexed
by ‘DM’.
MAC Address This is the MAC address assigned to the unit.
IP Address This is the IP address allocated to the unit.
Sub Net This is the subnet of the network where the unit is located.
Gateway This is the IP address of the default gateway (router) assigned by
the DHCP server.
Video Standard Displays the video standard adopted by the unit i.e. PAL, NTSC.
Number of Cameras Shows the number of camera channels on the unit.
Video Storage Gbytes Highlights the available video storage capacity in Gigabytes.
Software (Red) Links to the System Settings->Software details page
Time/Date (Green) Links to the System->Time and Date page
Accounts (Yellow) Links to the Viewer Settings->User Accounts details page

Unit Status
This menu details information regarding the status of the unit, notably the total time the unit has
been operating and the time since its last reset.
Time since last reset Details the time since the unit was last reset.
Total running time Details the total time the unit has been operational.
Reset code The last reset code used is displayed.
Restart reason The reason for the last restart is displayed i.e. Controlled
User Reset.
