PRE-SAVED MESSAGES
MMG1 MODULE
FUNCTION
MODULE TO SAVE AND REPLAY MESSAGES.
DESCRIPTION
This module allows to save up to a 16 secs message and replay it at any time. The Replay can
be activated either by the PLAY key or by the remote PLAY input. The message can be
replayed once or cyclically. The replay can be stopped by the STOP key or by the remote
STOP input.
The spoken message can respect or not respect the priority system. If the module is
configured to use the priority system then the hierarchy of the priorities and the zone
structure are kept (the message signal will attenuate the BGM). If it is configured without
priorities (BGA), the message signal will be added to the BGM signal and will be attenuated
together with it when there is a spoken message or alarm.
The source for message saving can be an external or a console microphone. REC key must be
pressed to start saving. This key has a difficult access to protect it against accidental
misuse.

CONNECTING THE MMG1
In order to connect this module, you should follow the steps indicated on the figure of the next page:
 Choose an operating mode with the jumper marked with nr.1: This module can act respecting the priority and zone system
(ALAR) or as BGA.
ATTENTION: There can be only one module acting as BGA. Remember that to work in this mode you must remove all of
the zone assignment and priority jumpers.
 If you decide the module to work in ALAR. mode, select now its priority. To do that, you will have to place two PRIORITY
jumpers according to the priority you wish this module to have. (indication nr.2 of the figure on next page). For example:
To set the priority to 3, place the two jumpers at positions J105 and J108.

ATTENTION: There can be only one module with priority 1. Remember that every module containing
PRIORITY
information must be installed on the same chassis.
 If you configure the module to operate in ALAR. mode, define now the zones to which the message has to be sent by means
of the jumpers highlighted in nr.3. For example: If you wish the module to act in zones 3 and 5, insert two jumpers at
position J111 and J113.
 Choose whether the message should be announced repeatedly or just once (nr.4).
 Insert and screw the module and the chassis together in the front and back panels.
 Connect the data buses (Flat 10- and 20-way cables) to the connectors marked with nr.5 in the figure on next page.
 Link together the front and back panel. In this case you will have to connect following connector pair marked with nr.6:
J122-TS102.
 The connector marked with nr.7 serves to connect to the consoles MCT12 module from which you want to record a
message. Both connectors (J123 and J124) are shunted and it is irrelevant to connect the MCT12 to one or the other. The
unoccupied connector can be used to connect another MMG1 module to the same console, if you wish so.
 Once the complete installation of one or various chassis and the peripherals connections to ENVIRO has been carried out,
you should adjust the volume of this module so that the
SIGNAL LEVEL
LED lights up green while talking normally. As the
final step in the modules configuration, you may wish to adjust the tone controls.
OPERATION
 To record a message, first select the audio source from which you want to record with the switch button found on the
front panel: CNSL (raised button) means that the message will be recorded from the selected console without having to
press the PAGE key or MIC/LIN (pressed button), in this case, the message will be recorded from a microphone connected
to the front panel or from an audio source connected to the Line input on the backside.
 To perform the recording, keep the REC button pressed during the recording time.
 The playback of the message can be activated from the modules front panel (PLAY/STOP) or remotely via press keys,
programmed timers, programmed alarms, etc.
