operating instructions and to conform to them. It's
not just enough to take the word of others that a
machine is good, then make the purchase and believe
that everything will run like clockwork. Those who
take this attitude would not only damage their own
reputations, but also make the mistake of blaming the
machine for any possible failures rather than

before using this device!
3 Guarantee
Please check the machine for any possible transport damage immediately upon
acceptance. Future transport damage claims will not be accepted.
We give a One Year Factory Guarantee from the date of delivery (your invoice or
your delivery docket acts as your guarantee certificate).
This guarantee covers material and construction faults, but does not include parts
that have been damaged through normal or excessive wear.
The guarantee becomes void
when damages result from acts of violence
when an operating fault exists
when the stipulated requirements are not met
when the machine is enhanced or fitted with third-party replacement parts
without our permission
when the machine is cleaned with water
when the spreader is used for winter service
4 Accident preventionSafety information
Observe the general accident prevention regulations of the relevant state/country.
This machine must only be operated by those who have been briefed on the danger
areas.
Check danger areas before starting and initial operation. (Children!) Ensure there is
sufficient visibility!
The warning and reference stickers on the machine provide important information for
safe operation. Please take notice of them for your own safety!
Before starting work, familiarise yourself with all the equipment and controls as well
as their functions.

5 Assembling the seed drill
5.1 Structure and function
The pneumatic seed drill is both a spreading and seed drilling machine with a
200/500 litre holding capacity.
The sowing shaft is driven by a 12V electric geared motor, which is regulated via the
controller. The sowing shaft speed can be easily adjusted from the driver's seat using
the control.
The sowing shaft speed is adapted to the tractor speed via the speed sensor system.
The control module power supply is delivered via the tractor’s standard 3-pin socket.
5.2 Securing the control module
Fix the bracket supplied (standard feature)
in the cabin with two screws.

IMPORTANT: Where possible do not role the cable into a coil!
Fitted to the underside of the control module is a 3-pin socket (= connection to
Steady plus on tractor), a 6-pin socket (= connecting seed drill to control module) and
a 12-pin socket for the sensors
(speed and headland sensor).
A 30A fuse is located on the right side of the control module.
TIP: Note the angle at which the module can be viewed in order to read the display
optimally. The bracket can be bent back slightly to set a better angle.

5.3 Electrical connection
The standard cable (included) can be directly
connected to the standard 3-pin tractor socket
in the cabin. Connect the other end to the
control module.
The (30A) fuse is located on the right side of
the control module.
CAUTION: The 12V power supply must NOT be plugged into the cigarette lighter
socket!
The machine should be locked again after operation is complete (various safety
related reasons).
If the battery is being charged through a charger that is in the "Start" mode, this may
lead to voltage peaks! This in turn can damage the electrical system on the control
module if it is also connected when charging the battery!

6 Hydraulicblower drive
6.1 Connecting the hydraulic blower (HG)
On the TS200 and TS500 is a hydraulic blower variant which is driven directly by the
tractor’s hydraulics.
Two hoses are provided for coupling to the tractor:
- The return line (marked in yellow, BG4)
must flow, without pressure ({WITHOUT
reduction) into the tractor's oil tank!!!!
- The pressure line (marked in red, BG3) can
simply be connected to the tractor’s servo.
- When connecting the hydraulic hoses to the
tractor hydraulics, make sure that the
hydraulics of both the tractor and machine
are depressurised!
CAUTION: Before operating the blower, turn the flow control valve completely off!
This prevents the blower from unintentionally overspeeding!

For hydraulic seed drills, the BG4 coupling plug is removed from the tank line and
included in the accessories. Take note of the tractor's operating instructions so that
the correct connection is used.
The tank line is sealed with a plastic cap to prevent oil leaking out during transport.
This plastic cap must be removed before initial operation and replaced by the correct
coupling.

6.2 Setting values (HG)
The blower creates an airflow that transfers the
seed through the hoses to the deflector plates. The
air pressure needed and the air volume depend
heavily on the seed (type and weight), the quantity,
working width and speed.
Therefore, an exact specification for the correct
blower setting is not possible and must be
determined in field trials!
A guide value can be found under point6.3.
IMPORTANT: The airflow must never be too weak otherwise the seed remains in the
hoses and blocks them! This causes a lot of work as the hoses have to be
disconnected and emptied by hand. In addition, the seed can be ground in the
metering unit!
An airflow that is too strong can also have negative effects on seed distribution.
Apply the guiding principle:
As much as necessary, but as little as possible!!
The amount of air is limited by the spreading medium used, which must not be
damaged when bouncing off the spreading plate, and must not bounce too high in
order not to miss the desired depositing place!
The blower speed increases proportionally with the oil flow.

6.3 Setting procedure (HG)
Variant 1(Fixed displacement pump: non-adjustable oil volume)
x Close control valve completely (- minus)
x Set blower in operation (tractor motor speed as in field operation)
x Adjust blower speed with the control valve on the control block
x The control block secures the motor against overspeeding
TIP: The hydraulic pump on the tractor must deliver sufficient oil so that the blower
speed does not drop if either the tractor’s engine speed drops or through the
operation of other hydraulic functions.
Variant 2(variable displacement pump or adjustable oil volume on the tractor)
x Open control valve completely (+ Plus)
x Close flow control valve on tractor (set oil volume toZERO)
x Set blower in operation and bring up to desired speed (slowly increase oil
volume)
TIP: The control block is designed for 80l/min. If the tractor pump produces a greater
oil volume, the system can overheat, just as if the tractor has no oil cooling system.
IMPORTANT: Setting is only valid for the tractor being used. If another tractor is to
be used then the blower must be reset!
A correct setting is essential in order to avoid potential seeding problems through
underspeed or damage to the blower through overspeed!

TIP: A measurement strip is fixed to the hydraulic motor. If the
temperature increases within a scale range (from 71° to 110°C), then
it turns black.
More than 80°C is not permitted!

6.4 Diagram (HG)
IMPORTANT: When replacing the motor, make sure that terminal A is connected
from the control block to terminal B of the motor and terminal A is connected from the
motor to terminal B of the block.

6.5 Fan sensor and pressure switch function
The pressure switch (Fig: 9) prevents the sowing
shaft from being switched on as long as the
hydraulic blower fan is not switched on and thus
prevents the seed drill from clogging due to
unintentional or premature switching on.
The hydraulic switch 10) registers on the control
module when there is too much pressure (10 bar)
in the hydraulic motor tank line. This can lead to
the seal being destroyed.
As soon as one of the two sensors registers an
fault, the message "Fan fault"appears on the
control module's screen.
If the blower fan then does not run, rotate it and the
fault message should then extinguish, and the
seed shaft should be able to start.
If the fan is already running, then there may be too
much pressure present in the motor's tank line.
Possible causes could be an oil filter on the tractor
is too clogged or a tank line to the coupling is too
small.
NOTE It is absolutely necessary to reduce the pressure otherwise the motor could be
destroyed!

Hydraulics (HG)
IMPORTANT: The hydraulic system is under high pressure!
Swapping the connections causes reverse function and/or certain destruction of the
hydraulic motor! Accident risk!
x When connecting hydraulic motors, make sure that the hydraulic hoses are
connected as stipulated!
x When connecting the hydraulic hoses to the tractor hydraulics, make sure that the
hydraulics of both the tractor and machine are depressurised!
With hydraulic function connections between tractor and machine, the coupling
sleeves and plugs should be marked so that operating errors are virtually
impossible!
x Check hydraulic hoses regularly and renew when damaged or aged! The new
hoses must comply with the technical demands of the machine’s manufacturer!
x Use appropriate aids when looking for leaks Danger of injury!
x Liquids (hydraulic oil) escaping under high pressure can penetrate the skin and
cause serious injuries! Seek immediate medical attention if injured! (Risk of
infection!)
NOTE Before working on the hydraulic system, lower the machine, depressurise the
system and turn the motor off!

7 Settings
7.1 Correct choice of sowing shaft
Before filling the bin with seed, make sure the correct sowing shaft has been
chosen(coarse, fine and/or blind).
The right choice will be made according to the nature of the seed and the amount
tobe dispensed.
The standard delivery of the TS200 and TS500 includes 2
fully assembled sowing shafts
1 sowing shaft with coarse-toothed sowing wheels
(GGG)(Abb.: 11)
1 sowing shaft with one fine sowing wheel per discharge (fb-
f-fb-fb) (Abb.: 12)
Coarse-toothed sowing shaft application field:
General: for large quantities and/or large grain sizes.
e.g.: grass mixtures, rye, barley, wheat, oats, etc.
Fine-toothed sowing shaft application field:
General: for small quantities and/or small grain sizes.
Sowing small seeds like rapeseed, clover, phacelia, slug
pellets, etc.
TIP: Blind or extra fine sowing wheels can considerably
reduce the output quantity.

IMPORTANT: Care must be taken when selecting the sowing wheel combination to
ensure that the sowing shaft speed lies ideally between 20% and 80% on the control
module.
This ensures good seed readjustment and homogeneous delivery at very low or high
speeds, even with speed-dependent spreading!
7.2 Removing (changing) the sowing shaft
To remove the sowing shaft, proceed as follows:
NOTE When changing the sowing shaft, ensure that the bin is completely empty.
After fitting the sowing shaft, check that the machine is running smoothly.
x Remove the side cover using a socket wrench.
x Pull the round belts off the driving rollers.
x Unscrew the side cover fastening nuts for the sowing shaft.
x Now remove the entire sowing shaft with the side cover.
x Now the new sowing shaft can be fitted into the machine.
x Refit the disassembled parts in the reverse
order.

7.3
Bottom flap (brush adjustment)
A brush is fitted above the sowing shaft. This brush
can be adjusted, on a scale of +4 to -5, using the
lever on the frame.
If the brush is pressed further onto the sowing
shaft using the lever (scale value of -1 to -5), the
output quantity will be reduced slightly. If the brush
is lifted (scale value +1 to +4), the seed output is
increased slightly.
The brush’s base setting is 0. This setting was
used to create the calibration tests for the seed
tables.
The machine is basically adjusted to the seed the brush spreads.
With fine seeds which flow very well, the brush must be adjusted slightly in mostly
(so, a minus) and be adjusted out for large seeds, which is a plus on the scale!
During the calibration test (see point 7.8). pay attention to the wiping behaviour of the
brush.
7.4 Agitator
It is only necessary to use the agitator with seed types which tend to bridge, or seed
which is very light (e.g. with grass types).
If the agitator is not needed, just remove the O-ring which is spanned on the driving
wheels between the agitator and sowing shaft.

7.5 Shaft air plate
NOTE In the case of large seeds
such as vetch, peas, horse beans
or similarly large seeds, the shaft
air plate must be removed to
prevent damage to the seed
wheels.
7.6 Filling level sensor
The level sensor reacts when it is no longer
covered by seed! It can be set higher
depending on what quantity is required in the
bin after the sensor has been triggered.
The sensor can also be adjusted to the
intensity of the respective seed. This is set
with a small slotted screw located on the back
of the sensor.
When the sensor switches, it starts to glow and the bin is full!
Try this by covering the front sensor with your hand and it should start to glow.
This is an easy way to check if the sensor is functioning and if the intensity is correct!

7.7 Working width / Seed tables
The TS200 and TS500 seed drills can be adjusted to a maximum working width of
upto 6m (with an electric blower) and up to 12 m for the HG 300 M1 (hydraulic
blower).
The spread quantity depends on the sowing shaft speed and the sensor
operatedtravelling speed. A calibration test should be done before starting work to
determine the required output quantity.
The seed tables show the output quantity for the individual seed types in kilograms
per minute (= the calibration test output quantity).
Not only are the standard sowing shafts cited in the seed tables, there are also
special versions.
NOTE These tables can be used as reference values however they are not equally
applicable everywhere. Many factors play a role and/or significant changes can occur
(e.g.: thousand-grain-weight, seed humidity, changes to flow behaviour, and much
more).
