General safety instrucons
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precauons should always be
followed, including:
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilies or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instrucon
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and
supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than
8 years old.
Always ensure the voltage on the rang label corresponds to the voltage in
your home.
Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage. If the cord or the
plug is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualied electrician or a service
repair centre. If in doubt please contact our customer service team.
The appliance is intended for domesc use only. Industrial or commercial
use will void the warranty. The supplier cannot be held responsible for injury
or damage if the appliance has been used for anything other than its
intended use. Incorrect operaon and use can damage the appliance and
cause injury to the user.
Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way. If
the unit has been damaged take the unit for examinaon and or repair by an
authorised service agent.
Do not immerse or expose the motor assembly, plug or the power cord in
water or any other liquid for any reason.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by
someone who is suitably qualied to avoid a potenal hazard.

Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Ensure that the
cord is not in a posion where it can be pulled or tripped over accidentally.
Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces and do not place the cord near
hot gas, electric burners or in a heated oven.
Use of an extension cord with this appliance is not recommended. However,
if it is necessary to use an extension cord, ensure that the extension cord is
equal to or greater than the power consumpon of the appliance to avoid
overheang of the appliance and extension cord. Do not use any other
appliance on the extension cord. Do not place the extension cord in a
posion where it can be pulled on by children or animals or be tripped over.
Always operate the appliance on a smooth, even and stable surface. Do not
place the unit on a hot surface.
Always remove the plug of the appliance safely. Do not pull on the
appliances cord to remove the appliance plug from the electrical socket.
Never handle or operate the appliance with wet hands.
The supply cord should be regularly examined for signs of damage, if the
cord is damaged the appliance must not be used.
The appliance must be supplied through a residual current device (RCD)
having a rated residual operang current not exceeding 30 mA.
The appliance should be connected to a socket-outlet that has an earth
contact (for class 1 appliances).

Appliance specic safety instrucons
Cauon: The appliance gets hot during use, always make sure you use the
appliance in a safe area and do not touch the grill rack, heang element or
housing to prevent possible injury.
Cauon: Never use charcoal or similar fuels on the electric grill.
Keep the manual in a safe place. If the appliance is passed onto a third
party ensure that the manual is kept with the appliance.
Do not use any accessories that are not recommended by the
manufacturer.
Always ensure the thermostat is correctly inserted into the appliance.
The BBQ is ed with a safety switch, if the thermostat is removed from
the appliance the heang element will automacally switch o.
This appliance has been tested for outdoor use.
Always ensure the appliance is used on a at, stable and heat proof surface.
The appliance is designed for grilling standard BBQ food only.
Do not use the appliance near combusble materials (e.g. near ammable
gases or spray cans).
Do not expose the appliance to rain or other damp condions.
Do not allow people under the inuence of drugs or alcohol to use the
appliance.
Always be cauous of fat splashing when grilling meat as there could be a
risk of burning.
Do not use any plasc utensils when cooking with the appliance.
The appliance must never be used under a running extractor fan or hanging
wall cupboards.
Never cover the grill rack completely when the appliance is in operaon.

Assembling the appliance
 Unpack all the components.
 Take the lower legs (1) and insert one connecter (2) onto the top of each leg.
Make sure the connecter is pushed all the way down. Also make sure that
the thick end of the connector is poinng down towards the ground, and the
‘elbow’ is poinng in.
 Inset the legs, with the connecters on them, into the lower tray (3).
 Screw the connecters (4) to the lower tray (3) using the nuts and bolts
provided (5).
 Take the upper legs (4) and insert them into the lower tray (3). Then insert
the base rack (6) onto the top of the upper legs.
 Insert the aluminium reector tray (7) into the base rack. Make sure to ll
the reector with water between the minimum and the maximum levels.
 Insert each side tray (8) into the base tray by clipping it into the holes.
 Insert the heang element (9) into the base tray. The thermostat will t into
the gap at the front of the base.
 Add the metal grill (10) to the top of the heang element. Line up the paern
on the boom of the metal grill to the heang element’s coils.
 Take the wind shield (11) and clip it into the four holes on the back of the
base tray.
 Take the warming shelf (12) and insert it into the holes in the wind shelf.
*If you wish to just use the BBQ without the lower tray follow steps 6-11, ensuring
that the BBQ is rested on a at, secure and heat resistant surface.
Cauon: Never use the appliance without water in the reector tray, always
ensure that the water level is between the minimum and maximum marks.
Cauon: When adding water to the reector tray, always make sure the water
does not come into contact with the heang element.

Operaonal instrucons
Ensure that the water level in the aluminium reector tray is between the
minimum and maximum marks. Water is required to reect heat and
minimise the amount of smoke produced during the cooking process.
Switch the appliance on and set the temperature using the control dial. The
appliance will heat up automacally unl the selected temperature is
reached. The element will then switch o unl the heat falls below the
selected temperature upon which the element will switch on again. This
ensures that a constant temperature is maintained. The indicator light will
be lit whenever the element is heang and the grill will turn o when the
element stops.
The grill rack can be placed at various heights by placing it in one of the
three holes located on the base rack.
Power consumpon depends on the thermostat seng. For lengthy grilling
it is advisable to set the temperature to high as “MAX”.
When you have nished grilling turn the control dial to “MIN” and take the
plug out of the mains socket. The appliance will now cool down.
Do not move the appliance unl it has fully cooled down.
Grilling
The appliance can be used to grill food such as sausages, meat, sh and vegetables
etc. always ensure that the food is placed directly onto the grill rack. Do not cover
the grill rack with materials such as aluminium foil or transparent lm.
Always ensure that the food is thoroughly cooked before consuming.
Cleaning
 Before cleaning always remove the plug from the socket and let the
appliance cool down completely.
 Remove the heang element and thermostat from the base of the plasc
cooking element.
 Never immerse the plug, power cable, heang element or the thermostat in
any liquids. These parts must be wiped with a dry cloth.

 The grill rack can be cleaned with a so brush.
Tip: Aer grilling let the grill rack cool down and then cover it with damp tea towels
and let it soak for 30-60 minutes.
In order to ensure that the unit works correctly it may be necessary to remove lime
scale deposits from the water tray.
Troubleshoong
If the indicator light fails to come on, this is normally due to the heang element
being incorrectly inserted into the base rack. Insert the heang element correctly
and turn the appliance on again.
Cauon! Repairs carried out by an unauthorised person may cause damage to the
product and injury to persons.

Electrical informaon
Please note:
It is extremely important that the wires or cores in the ex are connected to the
correct terminals in the plug. If the colour of the mains lead of the appliance does
not correspond with the coloured
markings idenfying the terminals in
your plug proceed as follows:
The Live (Brown) wire connects
to the right- most live (L)
terminal nearest to the fuse.
The Neutral (Blue) wire
connects to the le-most
neutral (N) terminal.
The Earth (Green and Yellow)
wire connects to the central,
top most earthed (E) terminal.
Warning: If the appliance is double
insulated indicated by the double insulated symbol: it should not have an
earth wire or earth connecon.
Plug
The plug must be protected by the correct AMP fuse; this will be indicated on the
case of the plug. Only BSI or ASTA approved fuses should be used. When changing
the fuse always replace it with a fuse that is of the same idencal rang as the
original. If you are unsure about which plug or fuse to use, always refer to a
qualied electrician.
Please note aer replacing the fuse, ensure that the cover is correctly ed back
onto the plug. Never aempt to run the appliance if the plug does not have a cover.
If a moulded plug is ed and has to be removed take great care in disposing of the
plug and severed cable, it must be destroyed to prevent it from engaging into a
socket.
If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by a service agent or a similarly
qualied person in order to avoid a hazard.

xed warranty, eecve from receipt conrmaon. Your receipt or order number
is required as proof of purchase date so it is imperave that you keep it safe. This
guarantee only applies if the item has been used solely for the use intended, and
all instrucons have been followed accordingly. Please note this product is for
domesc use only and is not for commercial use.
Abuse of your product will invalidate the guarantee. Returned goods can only be
accepted if repackaged properly within the original colour product box, and
presented with the original receipt of sale/order number. This does not aect your
statutory rights.
Returned products must be cleaned and returned to us in as close to delivery
condion as possible.
If your product develops a problem within the rst 12 months of the xed
warranty, we will pay all shipping costs to have it returned to us. Aer 12 months
the customer will be liable for the cost of returning the product to us. We will then
pay to have the repaired/replaced item shipped back to the customer.

Customers are responsible for any taxes applied to our products when they are
shipped outside of the EU.
All of our prices are inclusive of VAT.
Once a product has been returned to us, we will aim to repair or replace it within

The guarantee does not cover any defect arising from improper use, damage,
build-up of lime scale or repair aempts made by third-pares. Also, the
guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear of individual parts.
