GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING
THE APPLIANCE AND SAVE IT FOR ANY FURTHER NEED.
Incorrect operation or usage is likely to cause damage to the
appliance and injure the user. Make sure that you follow all safety
instructions. Only use this appliance for the purpose for which it has
been designed; we decline all responsibility in the event of damage
due to incorrect use or bad handling.
1. Check that your main voltage corresponds to that stated on
the appliance.
2. The safety instructions do not by themselves eliminate any
danger completely and proper accident prevention
measures must always be used.
3. Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
4. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less
than 8 years.
5. Children shall not play with the appliance.
6. Cleaning and use maintenance shall not be made by children
unless they are older than 8 year and supervised.
7. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have

been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
8. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in
order to avoid a hazard (*)
9. Do not pass the cord over objects with sharp edges and keep
it at a distance from hot objects and bare flames. Always pull
on the plug to disconnect it from the feed source.
10. For extra protection it is possible to equip your home electrical
system with a residual current circuit breaker with voltage
break at 30 mA max. Ask your electrician for advice.
11. Make sure that the cord or the extension cable is not at risk of
being pulled inadvertently nor of being topped over by anyone
at the time of use.
12. When you use an extension cable make sure that it is adapted
to the appliance essential consumption. Contrary to this, the
extension cable and/ or the plug risks overheating.
13. Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way
indicated in the instructions.
14. Never immerse the base of your appliance in water or any
other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place it into
the dishwasher.
15. In case the appliance accidentally falls into water disconnect it
immediately. Have it checked by an expert before re-using, if
you do not do this you run the risk of electrocution.
16. Never try to open the casing yourself.

17. Do not use the appliance if your hands are damp if the oil is
wet, or if the appliance itself is damp.
18. Do not touch the plug if your hands are damp or wet.
19. Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
20. Never use accessories that are not recommended by the
producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk
to damage the appliance.
21. Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the
cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord
around the appliance and do not bend it.
22. Place the device on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface

32. Always fill the grill pan with water before you switch on the
appliance. The water helps to cool down the grill pan,
reduces the build-up of smoke and also facilitates cleaning.
33. Ensure that the water level is kept between the ‘Min.’ and
‘Max.’ markings at all times during use.

SPECIAL MEASURES
Warning :
Caution hot surface!
Surfaces are liable to get hot during use.
DO NOT OPERATE this product near water sources or flammable
liquids.
DO NOT CLEAN OR TOUCH the metals part of this product when
it is still hot.
DO NOT USE SHARP OBJECTS

Caution: do not, under any circumstances, cover the grill rack with aluminous foil, barbecue dishes or
other items, as the resulting build-up of heat could cause irreparable damage to the grill.
When grilling food with a high fat or moisture content, splashes are not always avoidable.
Remember that the food with a high fat or moisture content may tend to ignite or to splash.
Always ensure that the water level is kept above the ‘Min.’ mark so add water during the heating to
keep right level and ensure that it does not come into contact with the heating element.
Before the grill is used, always check that the heating element is correctly fitted in the grill pan and
safely locked.
Do not connect the grill to mains power until the grill pan has been filled with water. The tray salvage
dealer of fat must be immersed and take care of not pour water on the heating element.
Use only the supplied tray salvage dealer of fat.
Ensure that the grill is not stored outdoors. Or in any other location where it might be subjected to
extremes of temperature or high humidity.
No responsibility will be accepted if damage results from improper use, or if these instructions are not
complied with.

BEFORE FIRST TIME USE
When used for the first time, turn the thermostat to MAX position and preheat the product for approximately 15
minutes. Some smoke or odor will be emitted. This is normal. It does not constitute a hazard and will gradually
decrease over time. Please make sure there is sufficient ventilation in the room.

BUILT-IN SAFETY INTERLOCK
1. This feature ensures that you can only switch on the product if you have correctly assembled.
OPERATION
2. Place the base on a heat resistance surface and insert the reflector water tray into the base.
3. Fit the temperature control box to the grill plate. Make sure they are correctly aligned with safety interlock
actuated.
4. Pour water into the reflector water tray up to the MAX mark.
Note: Always grill food when the reflector water tray is filled with water. Should the water dry up after continuous
use, unplug the power plug from the power outlet and pour water up to the MAX mark is reached. Do not pour any
cold water over the hot heating element to avoid damage;
5. Place the grill rack on the product. You can choose between 2 height levels.
6. Connect the power plug to a suitable power outlet and turn on the thermostat. Turn the temperature
control to the desired position.
7. The heating-up light goes on. Let the product preheat for approx. 5 minutes.
Note: Please make sure that frozen food is fully defrosted before grilling.
8. Put the foodstuffs onto the grill rack when the heating-up light goes out.
9. Turn the food from time to time with a spatula.
10. Unplug after use. Let the product cool down completely.
Warning: Put the foodstuffs directly on the grill rack. Never use plate or aluminum foil to wrap the food. Make sure
that no water and oil enter the product interior (for example, through the temperature control).
Note: During the grilling process, the heating-up light comes on and goes out from time to time.
This indicates that the heating element is switched on and off to maintain the correct temperature.

CLEANING AND CARE
Warning! Risk of electric shock! Unplug the product and let it cool down completely before cleaning. Never
immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under
running water.
Warning! When cleaning, never use solvents or abrasive materials, hard brushes, metallic or sharp objects.
Solvents are harmful to human health and can attack plastic parts, while abrasive cleaning products and tools may
scratch the surface(s).
Disassemble the product in reverse order of the assembly steps of 2 to 6 in OPERATION.
Remove all removable parts of the product and clean them after each use. Cleaning is difficult once the food
residue dries.
Clean the thermostat’s surface with a slightly damp cloth and then dry them thoroughly.
Wipe the heating element with paper towels or a soft damp cloth. If there are difficult to remove food residues,
pour a little bit of edible oil on the heating element and remove the residues after 5 minutes of exposure time.
Clean the product’s exterior surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and then dry them thoroughly.
Make sure that no water enters the product interior (for example, through the switch).
Keep the product in a dry, cool location which is protected against moisture and direct sunlight. Keep this product
out of the reach of children.
