1.1 Safety warnings during installation
Who may install
The installation must be performed by authorized technical personnel only.
Authorized technical personnel: per sons having appropriate technical training and experience necessary to be aware of hazards to
which they are ex posed in performing a task and of measures to m inimize the danger to themselves or other persons.
Cautionriskofelectricshock
Before attempting to remove any of the projector ’s covers, the projector has to be turned off and disconnected from the wall outlet
to m inimize the r isk of electric sho ck.
Cautiononhead
Before starting with the r eplacement of the lamp unit, always let cool down the projector after operation in order to reduce the heat
on parts in the light path and to avoid burns.
Warning eye damage
Eye damage may result from direct viewing the light produced by the lamp used in this equipment. Always turn off lamp before
opening cover.
1.2 Product care
Replacement parts
When replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician has used original Barco replacement parts or authorized re-
placement parts which have the same characteristics as the Barco original part.
Unauthorized substitutions may result in degraded performance and reliability, fi re, electric sho ck or other h azards. Un authorized
substitutions may void warranty.
Repairable
Under n o circumstances are Barco par ts repairable b y anyone other than Barco.

2.1 Using the kit
Product overview
This lamp kit can be used in the following projectors :
• R LM G 5 Performer
• R LM G 5i Performer
• R LM H5 Performer
• R LM R6+ Performer
• CineVERS UM 110
• CineVERS UM 120
2.2 Content of the kit
Content
The kit contains 2 lamps aligned in the lamp house.
CAUTION: Never touch the lamps with your fingers.

WARNING: Let cool down the projector before starting the procedure.
WARNING: Switch off the projector and unplug from the wall outlet.
3.1 Removal of the Rear cover
How to remove the rear cover
1. Turn the cover lock sc rew (A) half a turn c ounterclockwise to re lease cover.

2. While lifting up the cover bottom for removal, slightly press o n the cov er top side (B) to unlock .
3.2 Lamp unit Removal
CAUTION: Let cool down the projector before handling the lamp house to avoid burning.
How to remove the lamp unit from lamp house
1. Loosen the 2 s pring screws (E) securing the fa
n d oor to the lamp house.

Loosen fan door
2. Rotate (F) the fan door counterclockwise to open.

3. Loosen the 2 spring screws (G) securing Lamp unit onto base plate.

4. Disconnect the lamp plug (H) by pulling the lamp unit to the right.
5. Take the lamp unit out (I) the lamp house.

4.1 Mounting t he lamp unit
How to mount the lamp unit
1. Slide the lamp unit into the lamp house.

2. Push the lamp unit to the left until the lamp connectors fit into their sockets (H).

3. Secure both spring screws (G).

4.2 Reins tall the r ear cover
How to install
1. Slightly push the rear cover forward until it locks into the top cover.
2. Secure the rear cover by turning in the lock screw clockwise.
