1. Determine, from the layout, the storage
location and mark where each end of the
storage will be on the beam.
2. Measure up to 10” inward from each mark
and place a new mark as shown.
NOTE: You can use existing holes on the
horizontal beam whenever possible. For the
example shown here, the existing holes are
not able to be used.
3. Place the appropriate storage support
bracket centered on the mark placed in step 2
and centered on the beam.
4. Mark the six (6) holes on the base of the
storage support bracket.
NOTE: Center mounted storage will only
require two (2) storage support brackets.
Aisle way mounted storage requires
two (2) storage support brackets up to
48” wide and three (3) storage support
brackets when wider than 48”.

9. Place the narrow top cap trims under the storage support
bracket and install onto the top of the skin.
NOTE: The narrow top cap trims are able to slide side-to-side
for installing top cap aligner components.
NOTE: At times it is necessary to slide the narrow top
caps from the end just to get them under the storage
support brackets.
NOTE: The best trim assembly approach is to
start at one end and proceed to the other end.

10. The narrow top caps will be shipped per the length of the
storage. The standard top cap will need to be cut in the field to fit
between the ends of the narrow top trims. Measure locations
where standard top caps will be installed onto the Answer frame
and follow the steps below to field cut the top cap.
NOTE: There are installation applications when the narrow top caps
will need to be cut in the field (shown on pages 11 & 12).
Follow these steps to cut the standard (or narrow) top cap in the field:
• Place masking tape on the area to be cut (10a).
• Mark the cut line using a square (10b).
• Cut the top cap with a hack saw (10c).
• Deburr the inside and outside of the cut end (10d).
• Remove masking tape & install.
NOTE: The top cap clips may need to be moved along the length of
the top cap to engage with the top of the skin when spanning skins.
