5 Shipping and storage
5.1 Delivery
AP BIO air purifiers are supplied with castors and filters installed.
Upon receiving your air purifier check it for possible damage during transit and check
that it is complete against the delivery note (see chapter 2.2 “Packaged content”).
Take pictures of any visible damage to the air purifier in case of any complaint filed at
a later date.
5.2 Transport
Before lifting or transporting the unit make sure that all attachment points are fixed
and secure.
Use lifting tools with an adequate lifting capacity.
Never used damaged lifting equipment.
Ropes / chains must not be tangled and/or exposed to sharp edges.
Use only ropes / chains of identical length.
Only use the designated lifting equipment (provided on site).
A girder with suitable load-bearing capacity must be used to ensure the stability of
the load being lifted and to prevent the lifting equipment from coming in contact with
the air purifier.
Handle the air purifier slowly to avoid impact.
Take such measures as to prevent damage to the air purifier casing.
If necessary, use a specialised transportation company to move the air purifier.
Note!
Any missing parts of the air purifier and complaints related to damage it suffered
during transit can be dealt with only through shipping insurance, provided that such
damage is confirmed by the freight carrier.
Note!
We recommend keeping the air purifier in its original packaging for protection
and ease of handling during shipping and storage.
Do not remove the original packaging until immediately before installation.
Before commissioning, protect the air purifier from construction dust, dirt and
damage!
Risk of injury due to loads tipping over!
Due to their high centre of gravity some air purifiers may tend to tip over, causing
severe injury to persons or damage to property.
For the weight of your air purifier refer to the delivery documentation and its
identification plate.
Risk of injury due to suspended loads!
Never stand underneath suspended loads as there is always a risk of damage to
lifting equipment, pulleys, ropes or loops. Failure to observe safety measures may
result in death or severe injury.
Wear protective clothing and a hard hat.
Never stand underneath suspended loads!

5.2.1 Transportation with original packaging
Transportation may only be carried out by trained personnel in compliance with safety
regulations in force. The air purifier may only be lifted using suitable lifting equipment
capable of carrying the entire weight of the air purifier.
Air purifiers must not be stacked.
Fig. 5-1 Transportation with packaging
1: Lifting equipment rope
2: Packaging label
3: Forklift
Transportation using a forklift truck (3)
Place the fork underneath the bottom of the air purifier and adjust it to the widest
possible position.
Transportation using lifting equipment (1)
If you want to lift the air purifier, run sufficiently long hoisting ropes and anti-slip
devices through the feet of the unit. To avoid damage to the air purifier make sure
that the hoisting ropes cannot rub against it.
For your own safety wear gloves and safety boots during the lifting or transportation
of the air purifier.
5.3 Storage
Permitted storage conditions / permitted storage of uninstalled air purifiers
Air purifiers and filters containing virucidal agent AirFend™ must be stored in IE 12-
type warehouses complying with CSN EN IEC 60721-3-1 ed. 2 and must be protected
against the weather, in a dry and dust-free environment in compliance with the
following:
Storage temperature range from -15°C to 46°C
Air humidity up to 85% (relative humidity without condensation)
Note!
When transporting the air purifier refer only to the documentation supplied and
detailed dimensional drawings.

6Installation
6.1 Air purifier installation
AP BIO air purifiers must be installed in a position that complies with the following
requirements:
Ensure that the ground is level and that it can support the weight of the air purifier
so that there is no vibration or operating noise during operation.
The air purifier must be installed in such a way so as to ensure only trained and
authorized personnel can access it. If necessary, put suitable measures in place to
prevent unauthorized persons from handling the air purifier.
To achieve the best performance of the AP BIO air purifier it is desirable to position
it as close to the centre of its site as possible. Make sure the that air inlets at the top
of the air purifier are not covered; otherwise, its operation, power and noise levels
will be affected.
Turn the air purifier to the required position and brake the front castors (AP BIO 2400
and AP BIO 1000).
Connect the power supply. If necessary, use an extension cord compatible with the
power supply of the air purifier (see the identification plate).
Note on air purifier mounting and installation!
The placement, installation and mounting of the air purifier may only be carried out
by qualified personnel with proper professional training and experience and in
accordance with the applicable accident prevention regulations and other
generally recognized regulations regarding health and safety at work.
Note on moving the air purifier!
If FläktGroup air purifiers are moved from one site to another, it is necessary to
repeat the commissioning process.
Note!
When transporting the unit use only the documentation supplied or air purifier
dimensional drawings provided.
Note!
The HEPA filters supplied with the air purifier are packaged.
Before commissioning the air purifier these HEPA filters must be unpacked.
