The limiter function enables the ECL 2000 to
reduce or increase the flow temperature
in the heat circuit in accordance with various
parameters being measured by the control-
ler.
The available limiter functionality depends
on what sensors are connected to the ECL
2000.
The energy limiter function is available when
an energy sensor is connected to one of the
available sensor inputs S8, S9, S10 and
S11.
When the energy consumption exceeds a
user-defined set point (max. limiting), the
reference flow temperature can be modified
(typically reduced).
The energy limiter function is also available
for the hot-water circuit.
The ECL 2000 receives the data from the
heat meter by means of pulses. Each pulse
from the heat meter represents a specific
amount of measured energy. The ECL
2000 can be configured to regulate upon
many different pulse represented meas-
urements. This is set up in the ECL 2000
service menu.
Parameters for the energy limiter are set up
in the ECL 2000 service menu.
The data received from the heat meter by
pulses is upon request or if bound, trans-
mitted to other LON devices or to a SCADA
system / main station.
What do I need?
For visualisation of network data:
SCADA system, main station or PC (Laptop) with visualisation software and an OPC-
server
Interface between LON network and the PC
