Thesesafetyinstructionsareintendedtopreventaccidentsatwork,
anditisimperativethattheyareobserved.
Beforeanyinspectionorrepairwork

manual.

Themobilitydevice,andsomeofitscomponents,areveryheavy.
Thesepartscanresultininjuriestothefeetiftheyareallowedto
drop.
•Wearstandardizedsafetyshoesduringallwork.
Eyeprotection
Itispossiblethatbatteryacidcanbedischargedwhenworkingon
defectivebatteriesorwhenhandlingbatteriesimproperly.
•Alwaysweareyeprotectionwhenworkingonanydefectiveor
possiblydefectivebatteries.
Safetygloves

defectivebatteriesorwhenhandlingbatteriesimproperly.
•Alwayswearacid-proofsafetygloveswhenworkingonany

spacers.
–Whenreassembling,alwaysreplaceanycableties
whichwerecutduringdismantling.
–Aftercompletingyourwork/beforerenewedstart-up
ofthemobilitydevice,checkallconnectionsfortight
fitting.
–Aftercompletingyourwork/beforerenewedstart-up
ofthemobilitydevice,checkallpartsforcorrect
locking.
–Onlyoperatethevehiclewiththeapprovedtire
pressures(seetechnicaldata).
–Checkallelectricalcomponentsforcorrectfunction.
Notethatincorrectpolaritycanresultindamageto
theelectronics.
–Alwayscarryoutatrialrunattheendofyourwork.

Thewheelchair’scontrolunitmustreducethemaximum
possiblespeedassoonasthelifterisraised.

functionafteranymaintenanceworkormodifications
tothewheelchair.

Anychangestothedriveprogramcanaffectthe
drivingcharacteristicsandthetippingstabilityof
thevehicle
–Changestothedriveprogrammayonlybecarriedout
bytrainedInvacarespecialistdealers.
–Invacaresuppliesallmobilitydeviceswithastandard
driveprogramex-works.Invacarecanonlygivea
warrantyforsafevehicledrivingbehavior-especially
tippingstability-forthisstandarddriveprogram.
Markallcurrentsettingsforthemobilitydevice(seat,
armrests,backrestetc.),andtheassociatedcableconnecting
plugs,beforedismantling.Thismakesreassemblyeasier.All
plugsarefittedwithmechanicalsafetydeviceswhichprevent
releaseoftheconnectingplugsduringoperation.Torelease
theconnectingplugsthesafetydevicesmustbepressedin.
Whenreassemblingensurethatthesesafetydevicesare
correctlyengaged.
