2. Blue = 10 - 50%
3. Red light = 0 - 10%
Bluetooth pairing
Your BRAVEN speaker can sync wirelessly with most Bluetooth enabled devices and will remember the last
8 wireless connections. The BRAVEN is capable of being paired with two devices simultaneously, though
audio can only be played from one device at a time.
Connecting with Bluetooth*
1. Make sure that the BRAVEN speaker is turned on.
2. Turn on Bluetooth on your Bluetooth device and place it in pairing mode (check your device’s
manual to find out how to sync your device through Bluetooth).
3. If your BRAVEN is not already in pairing mode, place it in pairing mode by pressing and holding
the call/Bluetooth pairing button for about 7 seconds, until the LED light begins flashing rapidly.
4. Select the BRAVEN from the list of discovered devices on your Bluetooth device. Wait for a few
seconds until the connection is completed.
5. If prompted for a password, enter “0000” (4 zeros).
6. If the connection is successful, an audible chime will sound on your BRAVEN device and the white
LED light will stop flashing.
7. Select a song, movie or game from your media device and the audio will stream via Bluetooth to
your BRAVEN speaker.
* You can also bypass the Bluetooth audio by plugging in the included 3.5mm cable into the audio-in jack.

Speakerphone details
Make/take conference and group phone calls*
The BRAVEN is programmed to give incoming calls priority over other media.
1. When the BRAVEN is synced via Bluetooth with your phone and a call comes in, the speaker will
beep, music, if playing, will pause, and your ringtone will play over the speaker.
2. Press the call/Bluetooth pairing button on the BRAVEN to answer the call over the speaker. The
call will be answered using the BRAVEN’s microphone and speakerphone. If you press the answer
button on your phone, some phones will answer via the BRAVEN speaker and some will answer
via the mobile device. You may need to manually select the BRAVEN speaker as the audio source
to use it as the speakerphone. Consult your Bluetooth device’s user manual for instructions on
selecting an audio source.
3. Press the call/Bluetooth pairing button again to end the call. Alternatively, you may press the
end call button your mobile phone.
4. Once the call is ended, your music will resume playing if your mobile phone allows for this
feature
*Consult your device’s user manual for instructions on making calls via Bluetooth devices.
Charging other media devices from your BRAVEN speaker
The BRAVEN speaker’s internal battery will charge small mobile media devices such as mobile phones and
MP3 players:
1. Turn the BRAVEN power switch on.
2. Plug the USB power cable that came with your phone, mp3 player, or other mobile device into
the USB port on the BRAVEN speaker.
3. Plug the other end of the cable into your mobile device, and it will immediately begin charging.
When a 3.5mm cable (line-in) is plugged into the BRAVEN speaker, BRAVEN’s USB cell phone charging is
disengaged. To re-engage the BRAVEN’s charging capabilities, unplug any 3.5mm cables from the
BRAVEN’s audio in or out ports. If charging does not re-engage, turn off the BRAVEN speaker and turn it
back on again. If the charging feature still does not work, fully recharge your BRAVEN speaker.
To protect the BRAVEN’s internal battery, the ability to charge external devices is deactivated when the
BRAVEN’s own battery level is low. If your mobile device does not begin charging when it is plugged into
the BRAVEN speaker, please charge the BRAVEN speaker first. It is recommended that you charge your
BRAVEN until the power indication light turns off (2 to 4 hours for a full charge) before using it to charge
external devices. You may continue to listen to music while the BRAVEN is being charged.
If the BRAVEN speaker is playing music and charging an external device at the same time, when the
battery level decreases to a certain level, the speaker will give a warning beep and disengage the
external charging feature. You can continue to play music on the BRAVEN speaker until the battery level
is low enough (RED light level) that warning beeps occur every 3 minutes, at which time it is important to
fully charge your BRAVEN speaker.
If the BRAVEN speaker is NOT playing music while charging an external device, the charging feature will
not be disengaged until the BRAVEN’s internal battery level is low enough (RED light level) that warning
beeps occur every 3 minutes, reminding your to charge your BRAVEN speaker.
Your BRAVEN speaker is optimized to charge .3A to 1.1A devices such as MP3 players and cell phones
only. It will not charge iPads /tablets and other 2.0A devices. If you plug in a 2.0A device (such as an
iPad or other tablet) to charge, the BRAVEN’s battery protection mechanism will engage. You'll need to
power off the speaker and turn it back on again in order to charge an external device again.
On a full charge, without music playing, your BRAVEN speaker can charge external devices to the
following approximate levels:
BRAVEN 650 will charge a typical smartphone approximately 80-100% (depending on model, battery size)
BRAVEN 625s - will charge a typical smartphone approximately 70-90% (depending on model, battery size)
BRAVEN 600 - will charge a typical smartphone approximately 50-70% (depending on model, battery size)

!
- Connect the line-out of your Braven speaker to the line-in port of other BRAVEN or non-
BRAVEN speakers
- You can connect via line-out to non-Bluetooth-enabled speaker systems (home, car, office,
overhead systems, etc.). BRAVEN acts as a Bluetooth receiver, and audio will play on both
BRAVEN and on the existing speaker system.
When daisy chaining to another speaker, adjustments made to volume level of “source/master” unit will
also take place on the peep/slave.” But volume can also be independently adjusted on the peep/slave
speaker(s). For best performance, all speakers in the daisy chain should be placed at a minimum distance
of 2 feet from each other.
4. TROUBLESHOOTING
BRAVEN will not turn on
Your battery may be depleted. Connect to a working AC outlet to charge (see section 3: Charging your
BRAVEN). Recharge your BRAVEN for 2 to 4 hours, or until the charging light turns off. If BRAVEN will still
not turn on, turn BRAVEN’s power off and then back on again.
Paired Bluetooth device will not connect
1. Turn the BRAVEN off and back on
2. Remove the BRAVEN from the pairing list of your Bluetooth device (refer to the device’s owner’s
manual for support). Then pair the device and your BRAVEN again following the instructions in
section 3: Bluetooth pairing.
BRAVEN and the device indicate a connection, but there is no audio
1. Make sure your BRAVEN has the volume turned up.
2. Make sure your Bluetooth device is playing audio, and the volume is turned up on the device.
3. On some devices, such as computers, you must select the BRAVEN speaker from the Bluetooth
menu and choose “Use as Audio Device (stereo)” in order for it to play.
4. Typically, pairing with a specific device remains intact when the BRAVEN speaker and/or the
Bluetooth device is powered off or is taken out of Bluetooth range (up to 33 feet). The BRAVEN
speaker will automatically try to reestablish the connection when powered back on or brought
back into range. If the connection is not reestablished, turn the BRAVEN speaker off, turn
Bluetooth off on the Bluetooth device, and repeat the pairing procedure. (see section 3:
Bluetooth pairing)
My device went out of sync with my BRAVEN
If your Bluetooth device has lost sync with your BRAVEN, you can reestablish the connection by either of
the following methods, depending on your cell phone/tablet (or other Bluetooth device settings):
On your cell phone/tablet or other Bluetooth device, select the BRAVEN device in the
Bluetooth settings
Turn the BRAVEN off and then on again
You can switch between your currently connected device to a previously connected device by using the
Bluetooth “connect” interface on your phone, tablet, or computer’s control screen. Some devices will
need to be re-paired with the BRAVEN (see section 3: Bluetooth pairing). Many devices will automatically
pair with the most recently added Bluetooth device. By reinitiating a connection, your device will take
priority.
The BRAVEN speaker can be actively connected to two devices simultaneously, but is only able to play
audio from one source at a time. If you can’t hear your audio on the BRAVEN speaker, it may be because
another device has an active connection to the BRAVEN at that time. To establish priority for the
Bluetooth device you wish to use, pause the audio on the second device or remove the BRAVEN from that
devices Bluetooth connection list.
Note: When two devices are simultaneously connected to your BRAVEN, and both are within the Bluetooth
range (10 meters or 33 feet), the audio signal may skip or cut out when switching back and forth between
the two devices. To solve this, disconnect the BRAVEN from one of the Bluetooth devices or move one of
the devices out of the Bluetooth signal range. See the troubleshooting topic “The BRAVEN is ‘skipping’ or
audio is cutting out momentarilybelow for further details.
If you are unable to connect to the BRAVEN or are experiencing any abnormal performance, you can reset
the speaker by using the power switch to turn the BRAVEN’s power off and back on.
If you are consistently having trouble connecting a new Bluetooth device to your BRAVEN speaker, it may
be helpful to remove the connection history for all Bluetooth devices that have previously connected to
your BRAVEN. To do so, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold down the Call/Bluetooth Pairing button for 7 seconds (or until the Pairing mode
sound effect is heard and the LED light flashes rapidly).
2. Once the BRAVEN is in pairing mode, press and hold down both the volume up and volume down
buttons at the same time for 7 seconds until the BRAVEN beeps.
3. All previous Bluetooth connections to the BRAVEN speaker have now been deleted and the
BRAVEN enters into pairing mode. Re-pair the BRAVEN to your device by following the steps in
section 3: Bluetooth pairing.
Volume is too low
1. Check the volume levels on both the device that is playing the audio as well as the volume on the
BRAVEN. Ensure that the volume levels on both devices are turned up sufficiently.
Note: The volume controls for line-in mode are separate from the volume controls for Bluetooth
mode, and can be adjusted on both the playing device as well as on the BRAVEN speaker.
2. If using the 3.5mm cable, also check that the cable is fully inserted into both your device and
the BRAVEN speaker.
3. Some Bluetooth devices experience volume loss when connected to speakers through Bluetooth.
Please refer to your device’s owner’s manual for further information.
My BRAVEN beeps when I try to recharge my mobile device, while I listen
to music, or after it sits idle for a while
If you are hearing consistent beeping tones while listening to music, the BRAVEN has reached a critically
low battery level. Charge your BRAVEN for 2 to 4 hours before trying to charge your mobile device from it
again. You may continue to listen to music while the BRAVEN charges.
To protect the life of the internal battery, the BRAVEN speaker will auto-shut off after sitting idle for 30
minutes. It will beep once and then power off. Simply turn the power switch off and back on again to
restart the speaker.
The BRAVEN is "skipping" or audio is cutting out momentarily
A Bluetooth signal can be affected by objects that obstruct the BRAVEN from a clear path to the playing
device to which it is paired. Ensure that your listening environment is conducive to the 33-foot (10-meter)
Bluetooth range between your BRAVEN and your playing device. Bluetooth connection ranges may be
decreased due to nearby electric power lines, magnetic fields, or other factors.
When there are two devices connected to the BRAVEN at the same time, and both are within the 33 foot
(10 meter) Bluetooth range, one Bluetooth device may try to take control of the connection from the
other. This may cause your BRAVEN’s audio signal to skip or cut out. If this occurs, you may consider
disconnecting all but the device you wish to use at that time.
If you are not connected to multiple Bluetooth devices simultaneously, and the BRAVEN audio signal cuts
out or skips consistently within a short period of time, it may be helpful to disconnect and then
reestablish the Bluetooth connection. Do this by removing the BRAVEN from the list of Bluetooth devices
on your mobile playing device, and then re-pairing to the BRAVEN by following the steps in section 3:
Bluetooth pairing.
The speakerphone feature of the BRAVEN speaker isn’t working properly
If you answer a phone call over the BRAVEN speaker when connected to the speaker via the 3.5mm cable
(line-in), you will be able to hear the caller through the BRAVEN speaker, but the caller will hear you
through the microphone on your phone instead of through the microphone on the BRAVEN speaker. The
3.5mm “auxiliary” port is designed to send the left and right audio channel signals to the BRAVEN
Speaker, but not the microphone signal. When connected to your BRAVEN speaker via Bluetooth, both the
left and right audio signals and the microphone signal are transferred to the BRAVEN speaker.
If you have daisy-chained multiple speakers together and you receive a call, you will hear the call audio
on all speakers that are in the daisy-chain; however, the microphone will only function on the device that
you are paired to wirelessly (the first speaker in the chain).
My BRAVEN speaker isn’t charging my cell phone when I plug it into the
BRAVEN’s USB port
1. Make sure that the 3.5mm cable is not plugged into the BRAVEN speaker or into your playing
device.
2. Make sure that the BRAVEN speaker is adequately charged. We recommend fully charging your
BRAVEN before using it to charge external devices.
3. Turn off the BRAVEN speaker and turn it back on again to reset the internal electronic settings.
4. Make sure the device you want to charge is not requiring more than 1.1A. Your BRAVEN speaker
is optimized to charge .3A to 1.1A devices such as MP3 players and cell phones only. It will
not charge iPads /tablets and other 2.0A devices.
5. Discontinuing music play can provide extra charge time to external devices when the BRAVEN’s
internal battery is low.
See section 3: Charging other media devices from your BRAVEN speaker, for more information regarding
the charging of external devices from your BRAVEN speaker.

5. WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the BRAVEN to rain or moisture. The BRAVEN
should not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and objects filled with liquids, such as vases, should not
be placed on or near it. Do not use near bathtubs, washbowls, kitchen sinks, laundry tubs, in a wet
basement, near a swimming pool, or anywhere else that water is present. As with any electronic
products, use care not to spill liquids into any part of the product. Liquids can cause a failure and/or a
fire hazard. The power supply must be used indoors only. It is neither designed nor tested for charging
outdoors, in recreation vehicles, or on boats. Make no modifications to the product or accessories.
Unauthorized alterations may compromise safety, regulatory compliance, and system performance, and
will void the warranty. Do not place any flame sources, such as lighted candles, on or near the BRAVEN.
The BRAVEN contains small parts that may be a choking hazard and is not suitable for children under age
3. Before use, fully charge the battery using the supplied power adapter. Do not continue charging the
battery if it does not reach full charge within the specified charging time. Overcharging may cause the
battery to become hot, rupture, or ignite. If you see any heat deformation or leakage, properly dispose of
the battery. Do not attempt to charge the battery in temperatures outside the range of 32°-104°F (0°-
40°C). If the battery begins to leak, do not allow the liquid to come in contact with your skin or eyes. If
contact has been made, wash the affected area with plenty of water and seek medical attention
immediately. Do not expose the product or battery to excessive heat, including direct sunlight or fire and
storage or use inside cars in hot weather, where it can be exposed to temperatures in excess of 115°F
(60°C). Doing so may cause the battery and power supply to generate heat, rupture, or ignite. Using the
product in this manner also may result in a loss of performance and a shortened life expectancy.
Extended exposure to direct sunlight may damage the external appearance and material qualities. Do not
step on, throw, or drop batteries or the power supply or device, or expose them to a strong shock. Do not
pierce, crush, dent, or deform the batteries or power supply in any way. If either becomes deformed,
properly dispose of it. Do not short-circuit batteries. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way: such as power supply cord or plug
is damaged; liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the BRAVEN; the BRAVEN has been exposed
to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped. Do not attempt to service the
BRAVEN yourself. Opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltages or other hazards and
will void the manufacturer’s warranty. To prevent risk of fire or electric shock, avoid overloading wall
outlets, extension cords, or integral convenience receptacles. Do not place your BRAVEN on high surfaces
such as shelves. During music playback the BRAVEN may vibrate and move which could cause the speaker
to shift and fall off of the edge. Your Bluetooth device (mobile phone, music player, tablet, laptop, etc.)
must support the A2DP Bluetooth profile in order to work wirelessly with your new BRAVEN SIX Series
speaker. The A2DP profile is supported by most recent mobile products with built-in Bluetooth capability.
Please refer to your device’s user manual for details and instruction regarding the Bluetooth profiles it
supports.
