IPX5 rating
The Slam 2 is rated IPX5. This means that the Slam 2 is splash resistant, but is not impervious to large
amounts of water. Please make sure that the protective rubber cover is secure. If the Slam 2 has got
damp/wet during use, we recommend drying it o to help prevent any damage from occurring.
Instructions for use
Charging the speaker
Give the speaker a full charge before its rst use.
1. Plug the Micro USB charging cable into the Micro USB Charging port (7) and plug into power
2. The Charge indicator LED (8) will be red whilst charging
3. A full charge will take up to 3-4 hours
4. Once fully charged the Charge indicator LED (8) will turn o

Re-pairing or pairing new devices
1. Turn Bluetooth o on any previously paired devices
2. Follow the ‘Pairing the speaker to your device’ instructions
OR
1. Turn o the speaker by holding the On/O button (1) for 3 seconds
2. Turn the speaker on again and re-enter pairing mode by holding the On/O button (1) for 5 seconds
3. Follow the ‘Pairing the speaker to your device’ instructions
Charging your mobile or device with the speaker
Turn the Slam 2 on by holding the On/O button (1) for 1 second
Connect the USB charging cable for your device to the USB charging port (9) and then
connect your device
Pairing the speaker to your device
Turn the Slam 2 on by holding the On/O button (1) for 1 second
The Slam 2 will automatically enter pairing mode if a previously paired device is not detected
The Input indicator LED (5) will ash blue whilst in pairing mode
Turn your iOS, Android, or Windows device’s Bluetooth ON and search for new devices.
Select ‘KS SLAM 2’. If asked for a passcode, enter ‘0000’
Once paired, the speaker will play an audio tone and the Input indicator LED (5) will shine a solid blue

Auxiliary
1. Plug a 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm auxiliary cable into the speaker’s Aux-in port (10) and your device
2. The Input indicator LED (5) will be solid purple
3. Short press Decrease volume (3) to decrease volume
4. Short press Increase volume (4) to increase volume
Note: Changing track and call handling will not be active during this mode
Please note
Your device will have an internal amplier and if it is playing digital les like MP3s it will also have an integrated
DAC (Digital Audio Converter). If you turn the volume up to 100%, your device will be sending a distorted
signal. To avoid this, and to get the best quality from the speaker, we recommend that you do not run
your device any higher than 95% volume. Some devices output higher than others, so you may need to
reduce the volume if you experience distortion.
Playing music on your speaker
Bluetooth
When connected via Bluetooth, play the music on your device and the sound will play through the
speaker. Some devices may require you to select the audio output. When music is playing the Input
indicator LED (5) will slowly ash blue.

Call handling
Taking calls with the Slam 2 is only activated while connected via Bluetooth to your device. To be heard
clearly, please speak towards the built-in Microphone (6).
Answer call Short press Play/Pause (2) when call incoming
End call Short press Play/Pause (2) during a call
Reject call Long press Play/Pause (2) when a call is incoming
Redial last dialled call Double press Play/Pause (2)

Care for your Slam 2
Please DON’T:
Submerge the Slam 2
Drop the Slam 2 as this will invalidate your warranty
Open up the Slam 2. There are no user serviceable parts inside
Expose the Slam 2 to extreme temperatures or rapid changes of hot to cold or vice versa

Clean the Slam 2 with a soft dry cloth and no detergents
