Wireless DLM Configuration App Quick Start Guide
Download the App
The DLM Conguration App is accessible by download through
the Apple
®
App Store or Google
®
Play Store for Android
.
Search for “DLM Conguration” by Legrand. Install and launch
the app on your smart phone or tablet.
NOTE: The DLM App software and hardware requirements:
Android OS 4.4 (KitKat) or later; Recommended Android
OS 7 (Nougat)
Hardware iOS manufactured after 2013 only (iPhone 5+
and newer) iOS10 or later, recommended iOS11
Device Bluetooth™ 4.2 and higher
Wireless DLM Device Firmware: Version 10.14 or newer
Overview
This quick start guide will help you obtain the wireless DLM Conguration App, set up an authorized account, and establish your site
in preparation for connecting devices to create wireless rooms. Further customize your site through device parameter settings, create
and organize scenes, and keep the system current with wireless rmware updates. For more details on the app, download the user
guide at www.legrand.us/wattstopper.
Create An Account
Press the Create New Account option (requires Internet
access). You will need to create an account. Fill in the screen
elds. It is important to associate a phone number that can
receive texts for system information feedback. Tap Create
Account to nalize.
IMPORTANT: Wattstopper recommends creation of an
authorized account before pairing. Although it is possible to do
basic pairing without an account, an authorized account allows
you to fully secure the site to the cloud and also provides for
full conguration of DLM rooms, including editing of device
parameters.
You can call Wattstopper at 1.888.538.6070 to nd out about
your authorization status.

DEVICE PAIRING THROUGH AUTHORIZED SITES
Prepare Devices
If devices have not already been installed, prepare devices by
adding batteries and installing them according to the device’s
installation instructions. All devices should be 10 pressed and
ready to go.
NOTE: If DLM wireless equipment is being used repeatedly
for demo purposes, previously created networks should
be decommissioned and app data should be cleared. For
instructions, see page 10.
IMPORTANT:
Set up your account and obtain authorization (steps 2-4) before
proceeding.

Enter Sites
Open the DLM Conguration App and choose Sites from
the main dashboard. Create a new site or select an existing
site.
NOTE: Using Sites is the standard method for wireless DLM
project creation and management and also begins the process
of cloud site backup.
Create A Site
To create a new site, tap the + circle in the lower right hand
corner to select Create Site +.

Obtain Account Authorization
Once you have received authorization and log back into the
DLM Conguration App, you will receive a notication verifying
authorization. You will also see a check mark on the dashboard
next to Account Status.

Establish Areas and Rooms
Tap the three ellipses next to Building. Tap Edit Name to
enable the keyboard, change the building name text, and then
tap the check mark to save changes.
Tap Add Area under the ellipses of the building name to begin
creating areas within the building. This dialog box will visually
reect which area the new area will be nested under. Name the
new area and tap OK to save changes. You can add multiple
areas, or create sub-areas under areas.
Fill the Fields
Fill in the elds for the new site. The name, city and state are
required to create a site. The other information is helpful to
create a complete prole but is not required.
Tap Create when nished to complete the site set up. Repeat
this process for each site creation.
NOTE: Recently viewed sites will be located under the main
dashboard for convenience. Tap on a site tile at the sites level
to access its dashboard.

Create A Room Network and Add Controller
Make sure all devices are awake by single pressing each of
their conguration buttons. From the Networks page, tap
the Add Network + button and select Create new network.
Select the room controller that will be used to begin the pairing
process from the available list that is shown.
NOTE: The four digit identier (XX:XX) for each device in
the app coincides with the four digit code on the device itself.
Please ensure you are choosing the correct device.

Wake Up Devices
Wake up devices by pushing the cong button once. This
powers up the device for 5 minutes which gives you enough
time to pair the device through the app.
Wake all battery-powered devices within arms reach before
installation or access installed devices via ladder.
Wireless Dimming Wall Switch
Remove switch plate and with a pen point, push the
conguration button one time to awake.
Sensors
Push the conguration button on the outside cover
one time to awake.
NOTE: FACTORY DEFAULT: To reset the controller or any
device to factory default, press the conguration button
consecutively 10xs.

Add Devices
Check the devices you would like to add by tapping the white
box in the device tile. Select the green circle at the bottom-right
to add the devices to your network. Devices will pair and reset.
Select the Next button then select the Return To Networks
button.

Add Devices to Areas
Return to the Site level . At the desired area level, tap the
three ellipses and select Add Devices.

Select Devices and Finalize
Check the devices you would like to add to the room by tapping
the white box in the device tile. Select the green circle at the
bottom-right to add the devices to your room.
Demo
At this point you can demo whatever is needed with the
network (RC, parameters, scenes, etc.) When nished, select
the network used from the networks view.
NOTE: If DLM wireless equipment is being used repeatedly
for demo purposes, previously created networks should
be decommissioned and app data should be cleared. For
instructions, see page 10.

Set Device Parameters and Sequence of
Operations (SoO)
With an authorized account, you can now set parameters for
devices, and create scenes, etc. Tap on the “Room Controller”
tile to edit parameters for devices linked to the room
controller. Tap on the Change Parameters under Settings to
access the parameter options. Some of the parameters that
can be set through the room controller are:
Trim Levels
Occupancy Delays
Vacancy Timeouts
Daylight Harvesting
Customize
A secure site and network has now been created. The next steps are quick overviews to the Device Parameters, Scenes, Room/
Device, Networks, Site Synchronization, and Site Information icons located along the bottom. See the DLM Conguration App User’s
Guide for further detail.
Scenes Overview
In the Scenes section you can view, edit, or create scenes.
Add new categories by pressing the “+” button. Selecting a
category will display all scenes in that category. Tap on a scene
to view or edit its details. To add a new scene click on the “+”
button.

Room Overview
Sites displays the tree structure view of your site that you
have established. Edit and add areas, rooms, and devices
within the site. View additional information about a specic
room such as devices, loads, and scenes by selecting the
desired location. Toggle between device and room view
by tapping the desired icon at the top right.

Networks View Overview
By tapping on the Networks icon , you can view all visible
DLM networks associated with the selected site and the
number of devices that have been added at a quick glance.
To view unpaired devices alongside devices on the site, select
“Unsecured Networks” from the lter menu.
Site Synchronization Overview
To access Site Synchronization, tap . In order to keep all
projects up to date, changes made are uploaded to the cloud.
You can see the status of items that are both pending changes
on the cloud, or items you have updated that need to be sent to
the cloud.
Site Information Overview
Tap to access Site Information. View demographic
information about the site such as its address, contact info,
code compliance standard, etc. To edit this information, tap the
“edit” icon at the top right of the page.

Enter Quick Pair and Prepare Devices
After setting up an account, tap the Quick Pair button
from the dashboard.
If devices have not already been installed, prepare devices by
adding batteries and installing them according to Wattstopper’s
instructions. All devices should be 10 pressed and ready to go.
See page 4 for details.

Quick Pair Process
Create A Room Network and Add Controller

Pairing Process Status
The app will begin the pairing process and an active status
screen will show the progress. A conrmation screen will inform
you when successful pairing has occurred and a new network
has been established.
New Network
Upon completion a new non-secured network will appear in
the networks list containing the last four numbers of the mac
address of the controller used.

Select the Network to Decommission
By tapping on the Networks icon , access the networks and
select the network to decommission. Tap the three ellipses and
select Decommission Network.
Conrm Deletion
Tap OK to conrm decommissioning. The app will remove
devices from the network.
Clear App Data
Return to the main dashboard. Tap the “menu” button (three
lines) to access the pop-up menu and select Settings. Tap
About and tap the Clear All App Data bar in the window.
