Troubleshooting
1
It rotates but does not
track the satellite
Check that:
a) the coaxial cable is properly connected to the LNB
b) the LNB supporting arm is properly open with regard to the dish
c) the LNB is in the focus of the dish (see drawing with measures).
d) the dish is not warped (see drawings).
2
Error message,
motors locked with
dish down
Check the electrical contacts between the extension cable and the
motor cable for proper condition.
3
It gets an elevation of
about 45° and then
shows a motors
locked error on the
screen
Check the electrical contact of the purple wire “step encoder
elevation” in the motor cable for proper condition.
It can even be caused by any water seepage inside the motor unit
resulting in damage to the T0074 printed circuit. T0074 is to be
replaced.
Break of the encoder electronic circuit inside the Bosch motor,
replace the motor.
4
It gets proper
elevation and 45°
approx. rotation, then
shows a motors
locked error on the
screen
Check the electrical contact of the red wire “step encoder rotation” in
the motor cable for proper condition.
It can even be caused by any water seepage inside the motor unit
resulting in damage to the T0074 printed circuit. T0074 is to be
replaced.
Break of the encoder electronic circuit inside the Bosch motor,
replace the motor.
5
It rotates with the
dish down
The two bolts which fasten the dish arm to the motor unit are likely
to be loose.
Via the control unit, restore the motor in parking status, then tighten
the two fastening bolts, keeping the dish in parking position.
6
Connector F of the
coaxial cable is torn
Use a connector F50. Remember that the core of the coaxial cable
RG58 is multiwire, so the core portion coming out of the connector F
is to be whitened with tin in order to get it stiff. Pay attention that no
wire of the shielding touches the core.

In the parking stage,
the fuse of the control
unit burns out
In the parking stage the motor must reach the internal limit switches
and close their NO contact.
Check that:
a) the limit switch presser acts on the reed of the switch before it
rests against the mechanical stop, otherwise move the switch slightly
away from the mechanical stop (keep about 1mm distance between
the reed of the pressed switch and teh nechanical stop)
b) proper electric connection between the switch and the wires

The green safety wire has always +12V voltage
It must only be live when the vehicle motor is on

When assembling the control panel, the antenna closing key
remained pressed. Screw out the panel closing screw a little.
3
ER1 appears on the
display
No satellite found. It is necessary to check that the Magic Sat Easy is
positioned in such a way as to receive the desired satellite.
After making the above check, if the satellite is not yet tracked,
check according to step 1 of the Magic Sat motor.
4
ER2 appears on the
display
The elevation motor is locked.
Make sure that the regular movement is not hindered by any external
objects.
If there is no mechanical hindrance, make the checks described at
steps 2 and 3 of the Magic Sat motor.
5
ER3 appears on the
display
The rotation motor is locked.
Make sure that the regular movement is not hindered by any external
objects.
If there is no mechanical hindrance, make the check described at step
4 of the Magic Sat motor.
Easy
6
ER9 appears on the
display
During the switch-on stage an error happened in the motor unit.
Make sure that the regular movement is not hindered by any foreign
objects.
If there is no mechanical hindrance, make the checks described at
steps 2 and 7 of the Magic Sat motor.
1
The satellite is not
tracked
Make sure that the searched satellite can be received in the area
where the Super Digital is located.
Make sure that the LNB is powered by the coaxial cable and that it is
connected to the screw connector coded LNB-IN.
2
The display lights up
but cannot be
switched on via the
remote control
Make sure that the connector of the MIR is properly plugged in the
receiver.
Make sure that the remote control batteries are properly fitted and
charged.
3
When switching on,
the main menu is
displayed.
No channels are stored in the memory of the receiver. There are two
solutions:
1
st
perform a reinstallation and then a data acquisition from the
satellite via the “service installation” menu.
2
nd
via a PC, download software + firmware concerning your
receiver from out web site www.telecogroup.com.
Super Digital
and
TSDR 5000
4
After switching on,
everything is off
a) fuse disconnected (external 10A Super digital)
b) the 27Mhz quartz (X1) does not oscillate, replace the quartz.
1
It rotates but does not
track the satellite
a) Make sure that the searched satellite can be received in the area
where the Digital Plus CI is located.
b) Make sure that the search criteria concerning the searched satellite
are updated.
c) After switching on, the TV screen shows the wording “Initialize
system”, if this wording persists for 11 seconds:

c
3
) If the LNB is not powered, check the status of the coaxial cable
and the Metal Loop on the back of the receiver.
d) The Sat Search mode must be set to AUTO and the OFF-SET
values must be set at 0Mhz (you can find them in the configuration
menu)

The analog channels
can be watched, the
digital channels can
not
Make sure that the channels selected in the digital board are the ones
of the tracked satellite.
Check that, when the digital board is on, the screw connector coded
ANTENNA provides a voltage of 13V or 18V, otherwise check this
voltage on the coaxial cable coming out of the receiver and going
into a F connector at 90°.
1
When switching on,
the screen only shows
the software version
of the REC and not
that of the C-box
Remove the cover and check if the 8-pole connector which connects
the receier board to the control box board is properly plugged in.
