Use and safety directions.

.The receiver can be connected to either a 12 Volt
battery or a 220/230 Vac -50 Hz mains power outlet
through a power supply (on request)
.The battery connection cable should have a diameter of
at least 1.5 mm.
.Do not leave the receiver on if you are not using it.
.Do not install the receiver near water sources which
could damage it beyond repair, or generate severe
electric shocks.
.Do not piace the receiver in a closed cabinet; or obstruct
the air outlets with fabric or other objects placed on the
receiver cover.
.Do not insert any metal objects into the outlets and
ventilation holes as this may cause electric shocks and
short circuits.
.Disconnect power supplyto the receiver before carrying

Main functions

on the display. When the receiver is switched
on, the program number is displayed.

VCR By pressing this key you will disconnect the
TV 1rom the SCART connector to allow its
normal operation. Press when you wish to
record a satellite program and use your
television set to receive a terrestrial program.
MENU It is used to display the SAT receiver MENU
on your TV screen.

mode has been selected.
NEXT Key used when the receiver is connected to the Magic Sal plus system. You
can use this key to continue satellite searching during Sequential operation
DOWN Key used to lower the antenna in the MAGIC SAT PLUS system
STOP Key used when the receiver is connected to the Magic Sal p/uso With this
keyyouwilllNTERRUPTSATELLITE SEARCHING. Theantenna remains
stopped until a programme transmitted bya satellite different tram the initial
search satellite is selected. E.g. Magic Sal Plus begins searching far the
programme No.1 of ASTRA; by pressing STOP, search is interrupted,
if far example the programme No.1 01 of EUTELSA T 130 is selected, the
antenna. Begins a search far the new satellite.

.This is the MAIN MENU including ali the functions that can be controlled on
the receiver. The arrow I> is a pointer used to select the function to be modified.
Which can be scrolled vertically from one line to the next using the two remote
control keys [!][!]. Each of the MAIN MENU functions is divided into one or
more subfunctions that are selected by placing the arrowat the height of the
required function and by pressing the l]ffi:QJ key.
SUBFUNCTIONS
1) Configurafion; Piace the screen arrow to indicate the Configuration function
using the keys [!] [!] .Then press the CMlliQ) key to obtain screen displaying
the following subfunctions which are factory-preset during testing:

.To modify the subfunction values, piace the arrow I> at the height of the
required line usingthe keys [!][!], then use the keys ~~ to select the
required value.
I> LNB1 Offset: O MHz
LNB2 Offset: O MHz
.This subfunction is used to change the local oscillator values by + or -7 Mhz
on the UNIVERSAL LNB used. LNB1 refers to the low band (10.7 -11.7 Ghz)
ofthe UNIVERSALLNBwhileLNB2 referstothehigh band(11.7-12.75Ghz).
This variation allows the receiver local oscillator value to be adjusted to the
UNIVERSAL LNB value in case of oscillator departure from the rate value
(9.75 Ghz for the low band, 10.6 Ghz for the high band).

.This is a special subfunction to allow the receiver to be switched back on (or
NOT) to the selected channel when input voltage is restored after a temporary
cutoff. If NO is selected, the receiver will remain in standby when voltage input
is restored.

.This function is only active if the receiver is connected to the Magic Sal Plus
controllogic board. This board allows the required type of satellite search to
be selected on the Magic Sal Plus system (either AUTOMATIC or
SEQUENTIAL).

.This function is active when the Magic Sat Plus contro I logic board is
connected. It allows the required program to be associated to the name of the
transmitting satellite. Using the arrow keys ~~, select the required satelli-
te. If Magic Sat Plus is not connected, the satellite name is only associated to
a number comprised between 1 and 32. Return to the Program Menu and
select:

Not active: storage not on.
Daily: This is used to program receiver power on/off Every Day at
the selected time.
Weekly: This is used to program receiver power on/off Every Week on
the selected day and time.
Date/ti me: This is used to program receiver power on/off at a given Time
of a given Day.
e By selecting (I> Event type: noi active) alI the timed programming functions
are disabled. This only applies to the selected event, therefore, if you wish to
complete/y disable ali programming functions, you must select
(I> Event type: noI activel far Event no.:1, no.:2, no.:3 no.:8.
.By selecting I> Event type: Daily , you can use the keys [!][!] and ~~
to select the power-on t,me an the duration of receiver operation day byday,
and in addition, the number of the channel that you wish to see.
.By selecting (I> Event type: Weekly 1, you can use the keys[!][!] and ~~
to select, in the following order,
Week day
Power-on time
Length of receiver operation
Number of channel that you wish to see.
e By selecting (I>Event type: Date/ti me )you can use the keys [!][!] andB1~
to select, in the following order,
Receiver power-on date
Power-on lime
Length of operation
Number of channel that you wish to see.
.AlI Clock Event functions are automatically stored when they are selected,
therefore, it is not necessary to press the mlMQ) key on the remote contro/.
e The beginning time of each event can be selected by 15 minute steps, while
the event duration can be selected by one hour steps.
N.B.:To prevent unwanted receiver power-on, we recommend to select
I> Event type: noI active in alI 8 events, whenever you do not need to use
lock vents. In the event of a power failure lasting more than 30 minutes,
Clock Event programming is lost.

4) SA T FINDER ( Deletes Sal position )
.This function can have two different meanings:
a) If the receiver is connected to the Magic Sat Plus controllogic board, it will
read Deletes Sal position; by then pressing the ~ key, ali the satellite
positions stored by Magic Sat Plus during previous searches will be cancelled
(Read the Magic Sat Plus manual for'further information)
b) If the receiver is noi connected to the Magic Sat Plus controllogic board, the
MENU will read SAT FINDER; by then pressing the~ key, you will ope-
rate the sound signal detector which makes antenna pointing easier.
LOW-PITCHED SOUND: No signal
HIGH-PITCHED SOUND: Antenna pointed to the satellite
5) PROTECTED MENUS VES
This function isfactory-preset to (YES) to protect a few MENU functions
against un-recommended modifications by inexperienced users. If the user
wishes to obtain access to ali the MENU functions, ali he has to do is highlight
the "Protected Menu" line and key in number 1111 to change the setting to
(NO).
To revert to (VES), key in the same number again.
However, it is NOT RECOMMENDED far in-experienced users to try and
modify the MENU settings.

Every TV and RADIO programme stored in the receiver has been recorded.
To choose the programme you want, key in the number far the programme
(e.g.341) directly without entering the MENU; or else, press the ~ key to
display the MAIN MENU, then put the t> on Programme List and press
@H\D again to display the programme listo Use the ~ ~ keis to move back
or forth on the list by 7 programmes at a time. Use the [!J[!] keys to choose
the programme you want. To confirm the choice, press the ~ key.. When
you confirm the programme, if the MSP receiver is connected to the Magic Sat
Plus, the antenna will automatically point to the satellite transmitting the
programme ( e.g. ASTRA-ARD )

Switch on your TV set and TSR5012 receiver, making sure that the Falcon 12
receiver is off (on stand-by). Start your satellite search with your manual Voyager
antenna, after search completion press the VCR button in your TELECO remote
control, the display will read VCR.
Now you can switch on the Falcon 12 digital receiver and start the pointed satellite
broadcast channelloading ( for the first installation only); at the end ofthis
operation, you can select your desired program.

To reduce current absorption while the Mikr
Digital CI receiver is not being used, we
recommend fitting amonopolar switch on th
COAX positive input.
Switch on your TV set and TSR5012 receiver making sure that the Mikro Digital
CI receiver is orr (on stand-by). Start your satellite search with your manual
Voyager antenna, after search completion press the VCR button in your TELECO
remote control, the display will read VCR.
Now you can switch on the Mikro Digital CI digital receiver and select your desired
program.
