1. Remove all paRts fRom the box
Remove all the packaging material so the 8-FC is ready for as-
sembly. This machine is designed to be self-powered. An AC
adaptor is not included with the base. Some congurations
may require external power. An AC adaptor will be included
with those conguration components. Reference document
#637-8485 for conguration information.
3. Install the DIsplay WelDment
Align the display weldment with the base. Pull cables
through the display weldment. Take care to avoid un-
necessary tension or bending of cables.
Install the 4 bolts with associated at washers and nuts
as shown. Tighten bolts. Replace the shrouds.
2. Remove the shRouDs
Remove the 6 screws that hold on the center shroud
in place. Next remove the 6 screws that hold the side
shrouds in place. Remove the side shrouds from frame.
Set the 3 shrouds and 12 screws aside for later use.
4. Install top of the hanDRaIls
Slide the left handrail into the upper end of the display
weldment and line up the screw holes. Loosely attach
the 2 supplied button screws to the left handlebar weld-
ment junction.
5. Install the bottom of the hanDRaIl
Secure the lower part of the rail into position with
the 2 washers and screws provided and tighten.
Tighten screws in step 4. Perform the same steps
on the right side rail.
6. Install DIsplay ReaR housIng
Fasten the back half of the console assembly
to the Mast using the screws supplied with the
console.
7. ConneCt Cables to Console boaRD
Connect the appropriate wires coming out
of the mast to the correct locations, please
reference the console wiring guide (Doc
620-8424) that come with the console.
8. seCuRe DIsplay
Secure the front half of the console assembly
to the back half using the screws supplied with
the console taking care not to pinch any wires
and ensuring that the rubber console grommet
has a good seal.
