SATA 6Gb/s ExpressCard/34,

Model 150385.

With two SATA 6 Gbps channels to access external SATA storage devices,

this controller provides an easy way to upgrade your system to support

SATA or add additional SATA ports.

Follow the easy installation procedure in this manual, and you’ll soon be

SOFTWARE INSTALLATION

1. Insert the SATA 6Gb/s ExpressCard/34 into an available slot.

2. When the Found New Hardware Wizard screen displays with “PCI

Device” listed, make sure the included driver CD is in the CD-ROM/

DVD drive, then select “Install from a list or specic location

(Advanced)” and click “Next.”

3. Select “Search for the best driver in these locations,” and check the

“Include this location in the search” option. (Uncheck the other boxes.)

4. Enter “E:\” (if your CD-ROM/DVD is E:\), then click “Browse.”

5. Check a location; e.g., “E:\ 6G SATA 2Port_PCIe \i386” for a 32-bit

OS; or “E:\ 6G SATA 2Port_PCIe \amd64” for a 64-bit OS. Click

“Open,” then “OK.”

6. When the wizard indicates that it found a driver for the device, click

“Next.”

7. If the Hardware Installation screen appears, click “Continue Anyway.”

8. The wizard will now copy the required les to the system and start

the driver. When the Installation Complete screen displays, click

“Finish” to exit the wizard.

INSTALLATION VERIFICATION

1. Right-click on My Computer and go to Properties. Left-click on the

Hardware tab, then click “Device Manager.”

2. Double-click on “SCSI and RAID Controllers.” If there is no yellow

exlamation point (!) or question mark (?) displayed in front of

“Marvell AHCI SATA Controller,” the driver is installed correctly.
