Thecomponent,e.g.hangerbar,liftingsling,etc.labelledwiththelowestloadlimit
determinesthemaximumloadlimitfortheentiresystem.
Thismaximumloadlimitmustnotbeexceeded.
Pleasenotethatthemaxloadmaychangewhendifferentcomponentsareused,such
ashangerbars,liftingslings,etc.
2.4PowerSupply
I-Transiaisequippedwithabatterythatrequiresregularrecharging.Thepowersupplyfor
thetransformerandthechargingstationmustbeconnectedbyacertifiedtechnician.
Thetransformersuppliedmustalwaysbeused.
Refertoformoreinformationaboutthepowersupply.
2.5RadioFrequencyInterference
WARNING!
MostelectronicequipmentisinfluencedbyRadioFrequencyInterference
(RFI).CAUTIONshouldbeexercisedwithregardtotheuseofportable

2.MovethepinandretainerdowntoopenthecarabinerB.
3.InstallthehangerbarAontothecarabiner.
4.Releasetheretainerandpin.
5.Beforeuse,ensurethehangerbarisinstalledcompletelyontothecarabinerandthe
retainerisinplace,asshowninthefigure.

notbeingdischargedduringlong-termstorage(morethansixmonths).Resettheemergency

Theremustbealoadontheliftingstrapcorrespondingtotheweightofthehanger

4.3ChargingtheBattery
TheI-Transiabatterychargeswhenthehandcontrolisplacedinthecharging
station.
Theindicatorlamponthebottomofthehoistturnsyellowifthechargestatus
becomeslow.Finishthecurrentliftinprogressandchargethebatterieswhen
finished.
Thehoistischargedwhentheindicatorlamponthebottomofthehoistisgreen.
AlwaysleavethehandcontrolinthechargingstationwhentheI-Transiaisnotin
use.ThisguaranteesI-Transiafunctionalityandmaintainsthebatterytoensurea
longlifetime.
Thetransformermustbeconnectedandswitchedonbeforechargingcantake
place.Agreenindicatorlamponthetransformerindicatesitisconnectedand
switchedon.
1.TiltthehandcontrolAandplaceitonthetwopinsBonthechargingstationC.
2.PushtherubberhandleDintotheopeningonthechargingstation.

5.2AttachingtheSling
CAUTION!
Becarefulwhenattachingtheliftingslingonthehooks.
Checkthatthestrapshavebeenpositionedcompletelyontothehooksofthe
hangerbar.
Whenpressingtheupbuttontolifttheuser,checkagainthatallthestraps
remaincorrectlyplacedinthehangerbar’shooks.
1.PlacetheuppermostsetofstrapsfromthebackoftheslingonthehooksAonthe
hangerbarB.
2.Placethelowestsetofstrapsfromthelegsoftheslingonthehooksonthehangerbar.
Refertotheslingusermanualforproperpositioningofthepersonintheslingand
properpositioningofthestrapsonthehangerbar.

Theuser’shead,arms,handsandfeetmustnotbeindangerofbecoming
trapped.
Becarefulwithanytubesandwiresthatareattachedtotheuser.
Checkthattheredemergencystrap,handcontrolandhandcontrolcableare
freeofthehangerbar,userandotherobjectsbeforethehoistisactivated
andmovedupordown.
Whenthehoistisusedcorrectly,theusershouldonlybeliftedtotheextent
thatshe/heisclearofthesurfaceandshouldbemovedatthisheight.
5.4Liftingtoandfromaseatedposition
Followthisprocedurewhenliftingapersonfromaseatedposition(wheelchair,commode,
etc.).
1.MovetheI-Transiatowardsthepersontobelifted.
2.Positionthehangerbaratthesameheightastheperson’schestandnocloserthan
mid-thigh.
3.Positionthehangerbarsoitisparalleltotheperson’sshoulders.
4.Positionthepersoninthesling.Refertotheslingusermanual.
