ADJUSTMENTS VIA POTENTIOMETER
PUSH BUTTON
Manual speed By closing A1-A2 the speed is controlled via the poten-
tiometer marked ”Manual speed”. It can be adjusted
between 1 and maximum design speed of motor (see
table ”Technical data motor”).
The motor rotates at the set speed, regardless of the
value of the input signal. Factory setting: 1 rpm on motor
shaft.
Max. speed Potentiometer for adjusting max. speed.
Adjustable between 50 and maximum design speed.
Factory setting: 50 rpm on motor shaft.
Reset Reset of drive. The drive is also reset in the event of
voltage drop-out and by jumpering terminal 11 and 12.
Rotation monitor Activated if a pulse is not received every 30
minutes at min. rotation speed and every 20
seconds at max. rotation speed. The time
between these speeds is linear. The function can
be disconnected via DIP switches.
Probable fault cause
on installation
- Magnet turned the wrong way
- Magnet transmitter connected incorrect
(wrong polarity), see CONNECTIONS on page 4
- Too big a gap between magnet transmitter
and magnet, max. 15 mm
Probable fault cause
in operation
- Broken belt
- Belt slipping
- Rotor is stuck or to heavy
- The magnet transmitter or magnet is broken
Motor temperature Activated if the coil temperature in the motor
is too high. The thermal contact in the motor
returns to normal when the temperature drops.
Over-voltage Activated if the input voltage exceeds 265 V.
Under-voltage Activated if the input voltage falls below 190 V.
Over/under
temperature
Activated if the temperature in the control unit
exceeds temperature span -30 °C - +85 °C
Short circuit Alarms and trips in the event of short circuit
phase-phase or phase-earth.
Probable fault cause - Short circuit between phases in cable or
motor
- Short circuit between phase-earth in cable or
motor
- Cable break to one phase
Measure motor resistance; it should be identical
on all coils.
Internal fault Activated if an internal fault in the control system
has occurred.
DIP SWITCHES
OPERATIONAL INDICATIONS
*) Manual running (test mode)
Cleaning Purging function activated when in ON position.
Every ten minutes the motor rotates first 6 s at 5 rpm
and then another 10 to 20 s (randomized) at 20 rpm.
Rotation monitor Rotation monitor activated in ON position.
High speed *) The motor rotates at the set max. rpm when the
switch is set to ON.
Low speed *) The motor rotates at the preset min. speed (1 rpm)
when the switch is set to ON.
On/Alarm "Fixed green light when powered on. Flashes when the
control unit has tripped.
Run Lit when the motor is going to rotate, i.e. when the input
signal exceeds the threshold value.
Rotation Flashes when the magnet passes the magnetic sensor,
regardless of DIP-switch settings and input signal value.
ALARMS
In the event of an alarm the respective red alarm LED is turned on for 30
seconds. After the restart the LED is turned off.
This sequence is repeated twice if the fault remains. After a third time the
system enter error mode and the alarm relay is activated. All three alarm
events must be activated within 90 minutes to activate error mode.
The green LED is fixed during first and second alarm and flashes during
third. All alarms are latched subsequently.
