1. Introduction
The OnQ 19” Drawer Wire Manager, P/N 364573-01 is mounted onto a 19” OnQ Custom Rack Drawer and
provides a vehicle for safely routing wires and cables into the drawer unit for distribution to various modules. The
Wire Manager allows for the use of a “strain relief loop” around its hinge pin, which in turn allows easy movement
of wire and cables while opening and closing the drawer unit (see Figure 1).
2. Description
The OnQ 19” Drawer Wire Manager is two (2) “trough like” pieces of welded sheet metal joined together by a
hinge pin. When mounted to an OnQ Custom Rack Drawer, the Wire Manager allows wires and cables to be fed
from their drops thru the rear trough, around the hinge pin and then thru the front trough and into the Custom
Rack Drawer unit. The Wire Manager has the flexibility of mounting on either side of a Custom Rack Drawer unit.
The OnQ 19” Drawer Wire Manager includes mounting hardware.
3. Installation
A. Mounting onto a 19” OnQ Custom Rack Drawer
Note: This step may be completed prior to mounting the drawer in the rack.
1. Plan your cable management to determine which side of the 19”OnQ Custom Rack Drawer to
mount the wire manager.
2. Position the Wire Manager so that the longer trough is at the back of the drawer.
3. Line up the slotted holes in the “rear trough” hinge to the two (2) threaded holes in the base
unit of the drawer (the fixed integral piece of the Custom Rack Drawer).
4. Install the two (2) 8-32UNC-2B x .25 lg. pan head screws and lightly tighten.
5. Line up the slotted holes in the “front trough” hinge to the two (2) threaded holes in the
drawer unit (moving piece of the Custom Rack Drawer).
6. Install the two (2) 8-32UNC-2B x .25 lg. pan head screws and lightly tighten.
7. With the four (4) screws loose, adjust the Wire Manager’s height so that the bottoms of the
two troughs do not “drag” on the bottom of the drawer. Tighten screws.
