“Exceeding Customer Expectations Through Performance Excellence"
Valued Thermadyne Service Provider,
I has brought to our attention that our PCB supplier had sent some 9-9409 boards with the incorrect fuses
installed in it. The 9-9409 board is used on the GCM-2000 and GCM-2010
This issue will NOT compromise the integrity of the board itself or the GCM 2000 / GCM 2010 however,
the fuses in the board will open soon after the Gas Control Module is powered up.
We suspect that we began receiving the boards with the incorrect fuses within the last week of March.
The following pages include a simple procedure for the fuse verification and replacement. We recommend
to check your inventory accordingly on the following parts:
Part# Description
7-4000 GCM 2010
3-9131 GCM 2010 with TVA
9-9435 GCM 2000
3-9133 GCM 2000 with TVA
9-9409 Replacement Solenoid/Logic PCB

1. Remove the cover from the Gas Console. Do not disconnect any connectors.
2. Use an ohmmeter to verify the value of the (20) fuses. Resistance of the fuses should be as follows:
Fuse ValueResistance Reading (Ohms)
0.125A …………………………… 4.1 – 4.7
0.250A ……………………………2.7
1A …………………………………0.4 (dead short)
1.6A ………………………….……0.2 (dead short)
