viii Netlink Frame Relay Products
Introduction
The SNMP agent in Cabletrons frame relay access product line supports SNMP MIBs
(Message Information Bases) according to the following tables. Note that the columns
list the earliest releases that support each group/table. (These and all subsequent
releases of a product support the groups/tables in the left column.) Each box has two
entries, separated by a slash (/). The first entry is the earliest release to support "Gets"
(Read only); the second is the earliest release to support "Sets" (Read/Write).

MIB Reference 9
port Group (netlink.7.3)
portX25Group (port.1)
portPhyX25AdminTable (portX25Group.1)
This table contains Netlink enterprise-specific objects to manage a physical X.25 port.
Changing one of these parameters may take effect on the operating port immediately
or may wait until the interface is restarted, depending on the details of the implemen-
tation. Most of the objects in this read/write table have corresponding read-only objects
in the
portPhyX25OperTable
that return the current operating value. The operating
values may be different from the admin values if an admin variable was configured
after the interface was started.

portPhyX25AdminSpeed
SYNTAX: INTEGER
ACCESS: Read/Write
STATUS: Mandatory
DESCRIPTION:Data transmission rate in bits per second. The valid values
depend on the physical interface type
(
portPhyX25AdminConnector
). Select the value from the
below list that most closely matches the connected device.
All possible speeds in bits per second (irrespective of
physical interface type) are:
75 150 300 600 1200
2400 4800 9600 14.4K 19.2K

1.856M 1.92M 1.984M 2.048M
If an RS-232 DCE port is directly connected to
the DTE via the standard Cabletron cable, the
maximum supported speed is 64K. If longer
cabling is used, the maximum speed is 19.2K.
(The EIA standard for RS-232 addresses speeds
up to 19.2 Kbps.)
T1, E1 port speeds cannot be set here.
::= { portPhyX25AdminTable.1.2 }
portPhyX25AdminGenerateClock
SYNTAX: INTEGER { no (

ACCESS: Read/Write
STATUS: Mandatory
DESCRIPTION:Specifies whether the port will generate the clock
necessary to synchronize traffic over the link.
::= { portPhyX25AdminTable.1.3 }
portPhyX25AdminRcvClockFromDTE
SYNTAX: INTEGER {no (

ACCESS: Read/Write
STATUS: Mandatory
DESCRIPTION:Specifies whether the receive clock will be used from the

SYNTAX: INTEGER {none (

), dialIn (

), dialOut (

ACCESS: Read/Write
STATUS: Mandatory
DESCRIPTION:Flag that indicates whether the port is connected to a dial
modem, and whether connections will be initiated through
dial-in or dial-out calls.

portPhyX25AdminInactivityTimer
SYNTAX: INTEGER (
1–30
)
ACCESS: Read/Write
STATUS: Mandatory
DESCRIPTION:Period (in minutes) of inactivity allowed between calls.
Once the timer expires, the port is disabled until the next
call is placed, if a dial-out port, or the Disconnect Timer
expires, if a dial-in port. This variable is meaningful only
if the port is a dial port.
::= { portPhyX25AdminTable.1.6 }
portPhyX25AdminDisconnectTimer
SYNTAX: INTEGER (
1–255
)
ACCESS: Read/Write
STATUS: Mandatory
DESCRIPTION:Time (in seconds) a dial-in port will remain disabled after
expiration of the Inactivity Timer.
::= { portPhyX25AdminTable.1.7 }
portPhyX25AdminSetupTimer
SYNTAX: INTEGER (
1–255
)
ACCESS: Read/Write
STATUS: Mandatory
DESCRIPTION:Maximum time (in seconds) within which a response must
be received by the port, after entering the Linkup state. If a
response is not received, the port enters a Failed state.
::= { portPhyX25AdminTable.1.8 }
portPhyX25AdminTrunkFlag
SYNTAX: INTEGER { no (
1
), yes (

) }
ACCESS: Read/Write
STATUS: Mandatory
DESCRIPTION:Flag that indicates whether the port is associated with a
network trunk group. It will be disabled/enabled if the
network trunk is not operational.
::= { portPhyX25AdminTable.1.9 }
portPhyX25AdminTrunkGroup
SYNTAX: OCTET STRING
ACCESS: Read/Write
12 Cabletron Relay Access Products
STATUS: Mandatory
DESCRIPTION:String of 8 bytes, with each byte indicating 8 ports on an
RLP that may be a part of a trunk group. Since the
SmartSwitch 1800 and FRX4000 do not have multiple
RLPs, only the first byte is valid for these devices. Each
port is represented by a single bit within the RLP byte. The
bit position represents the port number; for example, if port
2 on RLP 0 was in a trunk group, the first byte of the string
would contain
x04
and all other bytes would be
0
.
::= { portPhyX25AdminTable.1.10 }
portPhyX25AdminRowStatus
SYNTAX: RowStatus
ACCESS: Read/Write
STATUS: Mandatory
DESCRIPTION:Used to manage the creation and deletion of conceptual
rows in the
portPhyX25AdminTable
, and follows the
SNMPv2
RowStatus
conventions by supporting the
following values:
active
, which means the conceptual row is available for
use by the managed device, and which is supplied
by a management station wishing to exercise an
on-line update of the existing conceptual row. For a
management protocol set operation, a
genErr
response is returned when the row does not exist.
createAndGo
, which is supplied by a management
station wishing to create a new instance of a con-
ceptual row and to have its status automatically set
to active, making it available for use by the
managed device. For a management protocol set
operation, a
genErr
response is returned when the
row already exists.
destroy
, which is supplied by a management station
wishing to delete all of the instances associated with
an existing conceptual row.
Note that all of the above values may be specified in a man-
agement protocol set operation, and only the
active
value
will be returned in response to a management protocol
retrieval operation. For a management protocol set opera-
tion, if other variable bindings are included in the same
