Installing the Hard Drive
The hard drive for the unit is provided un-installed.
1) Unlock the keylock on the front of the TransVu Express and withdraw
the caddy.
2) Remove from the protective packaging from the Hard drive and insert
into the caddy. Ensure the pins on the hard drive are pointing away
from the front of the caddy drawer and the label on the hard drive
is facing upwards and visible when the hard drive is placed in the
caddy.
3) Carefully slide the caddy back into the TransVu Express. Remember
to lock the caddy into the TransVu Express using the keylock. Failure
to do so will prevent the unit starting up.

Please ensure the following are available and have been tested prior to the
installation:

WARNING: Operate the TransVu Express from the power source
indicated on the label. Failure to do so may cause injury, and
will invalidate the warranty. Under no circumstances make
connections to this unit whilst power is applied

TransVu Express. This Quick Start Guide is not for use in isolation and should
always be used in conjunction with the main user manuals.

Alwaysfollowhealthandsafetyguidelineswhenliftingtheunitfromthebox
or installing the TransVu Express unit.
Unpacking
Remove all the items from the box and check components listed below are
included.

Location
• Drillingextraholesinthecasingoftheunitwillimmediatelyinvalidate
the warranty.
• Theunitshouldbemountedawayfromanypossibleplaceswhere
water may puddle during vehicle operation as the TransVu Express
casing is not rated for submersion.
The unit should be mounted on a secure base free from resonance and
secondary vibrations using the mounting plate provided.
• Atmentareaof290mmx190mmx90mm(11½”x7½”x3½”)is
required.
• Extraspaceisrequiredaroundtotheplugareatoensureeasy
removal.
