INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
ABC Combi Element Thread Change: Standard to Metric
MODEL ABC7E
WARNING
Disconnect the electrical power to the machine and follow lockout / tagout procedures.
Element assembly has changed threads from standard to metric. This will require different tools for removal and
installation.
STANDARD THREADS METRIC THREADS

NOTE: Element with metric threads will have a bend in
the elements as shown.
1. Install and torque outer nuts.
2. Install and torque bulk head/cavity nut.
3. Verify torque values for metric thread size.
Torque M4 nuts (10 in lbs./1.2 N.m) (first) outer nut (20 in.Lbs/2.3 N.m) and (180 in lbs/20 N.m) for bulk head/cavity
nut.
