INTRODUCTION The Model HTSW-1 Tamper Switch is a 3-position switch that monitors the opening
of the CAB1, CAB2 or CAB3 enclosure and reports a security alarm. Closing the door
automatically returns the switch to its normal operating position. The switch can be
pulled out to indicate a closed position for maintenance purposes.

INSTALLATION
Disconnect BATTERY and AC prior to working on equipment.
If your configuration is UL 1076, it requires the HTSW-1 Tamper Switch.
The HTSW-1 mounts into the rectangular slot located in the frame of the backbox of a
CAB1, CAB2 or CAB3 enclosure. Refer to Figure 2 for the location of the knockout
slots for the tamper switch.

If the outside door of the enclosure opens on the left, install the tamper switch on
the right side of the enclosure. If the outside door of the enclosure opens on the
right, install the tamper switch on the left side of the enclosure.
1. Snap tamper switch through opening in frame of backbox. (Refer to Figure 3.)
2. Connect quick disconnect wires to tamper switch. (Refer to Figure 4.)
Connect one wire to position marked “COM”
Connect one wire to position marked “N.O.
3. Plug cable on HTSW-1 into P5 on PSC-12 (Refer to Figure 5).
COMPATIBILITY The HTSW-1 can be used in CAB1, CAB2 or CAB3 enclosures.
