Siemens DA-3SR/X3SR Relay Modules for AD-3I and AD-3ILP User manual

  • Hello! I'm a chat assistant that has reviewed the Installation Instructions for Siemens Relay Modules DA-3SR and X3SR. This document details the steps for installing these modules in AD-3I and AD-3ILP air duct housings, including the wiring process. I'm ready to answer any questions you have about the installation, wiring, or features of these relay modules.
  • What color-coded wires need to be removed from the terminal strip?
What type of terminals are used to reconnect the wires?
What is the voltage and amperage rating for the alarm contacts?

Installation/Wiring Instructions
Model DA-3SR/X3SR
Relay Modules for AD-3I and AD-3ILP
INSTALLATION
1. Remove the four color-coded wires (blue, brown, white, and orange)
from the terminal strip in the wiring compartment of the air duct housing.
2. Remove the 4-position terminal strip from the wiring compartment as
shown in Figure 1.
3. Install the DA-3SR or DA-X3SR as shown in Figure 2 using the hardware
provided.
4. Reconnect the four color-coded wires using the quick connect terminals
for each color as shown on the DA-3SR/X3SR printed circuit board.

NOTES:
1. The relay contacts are shown with System in normal
supervisory, no alarm, condition.
2. When the relay contacts are being used to control
equipment operated by 120 VAC, ensure that the
conduit is properly attacted to the internal metal
ground strap using the proper conduit locking nuts.

Failure to provide proper grounding may result in
fatal electrical shock and violation of national and
local codes.
3. The EOL device must be compatible with system
initiating circuit. Observe proper EOL polarity where
applicable.
4. Use DI-B3, DI-B3H, and PE-3 detectors only.

NOTES:
1. The relay contacts are shown just after a reset
pulse, which represents the non-alarm condition.
2. If the relay contacts are being used to control
120 VAC operated equipment, ensure that the
conduit is properly attached to the internal metal
ground strap, using the proper conduit locking
nuts. Failure to provide proper grounding
may result in fatal electrical shock and
violation of national and local codes.
3. Use ID-60IB, ID-60IBH, ILI-1B, and ILP-1
detectors only.
