Printer Driver Sample—Microsoft Windows 95/98 Use one of the following methods to set up the printer driver.
Microsoft Windows 95/98 (QMS-Supplied Driver):
On the Settings tab, select the Optional Input Bin in the Available Options list and choose Add. Then on the
Paper tab, choose the appropriate optional cassette in the Source drop-down list box.
Microsoft Windows 95/98 PPDs (QMS-Supplied PPDs):
From the Device Options tab, use the Installable Options list to select Optional Inputbins. Then at Change
Setting for: select Installed.
Microsoft Windows 3.1, Microsoft Windows for Workgroups 3.11 (QMS-Supplied Driver):
On the Paper tab, select the appropriate optional cassette in the Source drop-down list box.
Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 (QMS-Supplied Driver):
In the Paper/Output/Paper Source branch, select the appropriate optional cassette.
Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 (QMS-Supplied PPDs):
From the Advanced tab, select Paper Source, then select Optional1.
Macintosh (QMS-Supplied PPDs):
From the Chooser, click the Setup button then click the Configure button. Set the LCIF popup menu to Install
and click OK.

Pull the media
cassette out.
Grasp the
cassette with both
hands and pull
outward while
lifting up at
the front.
»Note:
The
oversized and
transparency/
label media
cassettes can
only be
installed in the
upper bin.

Holding the
optional cassette
with both hands,
set it into the
grooves inside
the printer.
Press the cassette
all the way into the
printer.

Turn off the printer.
Open the front
cover.
Pull out the
manual feed unit
(including the
multipurpose tray).
Loosen the two
screws on the
printer’s right-side
cover.
Open the cover by
swinging it back
and removing it.
Caution:
Protect the
printer from
electrostatic
damage by
using an
antistatic
wrist band.

Hold the SIMM by
its edges and with
the notch on the
bottom.
Install additional
memory from right
to left.
After pressing the
memory firmly into
its slot, push it to
the left to lock it in
place.
Align the tabs
on the cover to
replace it.
Tighten the two
screws.
Press the manual
feed unit firmly
into the printer.
Close the printer’s
front cover and
turn on the printer.
