thetopofthepageandfollowingtheinstructions.Ifyouhavealreadycreatedanaccountandhavean

IDandpasswordalready,moveontothenextstep.



2.OnceyouhaveobtainedyouraccountIDandpassword,returntowww.golfbuddyusa.comandlook

forapeachororangecoloredboxinthebottomrightofthescreen.Itshouldsay“Youhavetoinstall

ActiveXControlandUSBDriverbeforedownloading”.



3.IfyouarerunningWindowsXPorbelow,goaheadandclick“ActiveXControl”andclickrunwhenthe

securitywindowpopsup.Thenfollowtheinstructionsandcompletethedownloadandinstall.Ifyouare

runningWindowsVista,youwillneedtoruntheActiveXControlmanually.Clickonthethirdbluebox

downontherightwhichsays“FirmwareUpgrade.”Onceonthatpage,clickon“InstallandActiveX

ControlmanuallyforWindowsVistausers(betaversion)”andthenfollowtheinstructions.



4.Returntothehomepageofwww.golfbuddyusa.comandgobacktothepeachbox.NowclickonUSB

Driver,choosingwhetheryouhaveaGolfBuddy(original)orGolfBuddyPlus.Goaheadandrunwhenthe

windowpopsupandfollowtheinstructionsfordownloadandinstall.

5.PluginyourGolfBuddy/GolfBuddyPlusunitandturniton.Next,clickontheblue“Firmwareupgrade”

buttonandscrolldowntothebottom,whereyoushouldfindtheUpgradeyourGolfBuddymanually

button.Clickthisandfollowtheinstructionstoupgradeyourfirmware.



6.Clickthebluebuttontotherightthatsays“SearchCourses”.Youcanalsoclickthe“Download

Courses”buttonwhileonthehomepagetodothesamething.Youcanusetheboxtothetoprightto

searchindifferentcountriesorstatesforyourdesiredgolfcourse(s).Onceyouhavefoundit/them,

checktheboxnexttothemandclick“downloadnow”.



7.ToviewthatstatusofyourGolfBuddyandthecoursesloadedonit,moveyourmouseoverthe“My

GolfBuddy”tabatthetopofthewebpageandclickon“MyDevice”.
