We have received reports of issues with some new model Kenwood radios when using SWI-RC. The steering
controls operate until the track button is pressed, then cease to work, or simply do not function at all with
certain radio models.
Affected Product: Unaffected (compatible) Products:
SWI-RC RadioPRO4, RadioPRO5, SWI-CP5
We have tested these radio models with SWI-CP5 and RadioPRO SKUs and confirmed they are compatible.
These are the Kenwood radio models which have been associated with the issue:
KDC-BT318U KDCBT-758HD KDC-X598 KDC-X798 KDCBT-558U
We are looking into providing a resolution for this issue as soon as possible. In the meantime, for installations
of these specific Kenwood radio models, please use SWI-CP5, or RadioPRO as these SKUs have been tested
and confirmed to work with these new radio models.
