Guidance and general safety instructions
Due care and attention is required when driving a motor vehicle. The operation of any
device whilst driving may cause a lack of attention, and pose a hazard to other road users.
Please follow general safety guidelines before and when using any connected device.
Do not attempt to connect your product whilst driving
Ensure your product ts correctly and securely into the power outlet socket before driving
Do not attempt to adjust or tune your music device whilst vehicle is in motion or operating
the controls of the vehicle
Do not insert any objects other than the correct adapter into the power outlet without
disconnecting the battery of the vehicle
We do not assume any responsibility for personal injury, or damage incurred due to misuse,
or unsafe operating of devices connected to your vehicle or the vehicle’s power outlet

Getting started
Plug the Freeplay into your car’s 12 V socket via the Charger Connector (6)
The LED Indicator (2) will turn Blue
Note: Please ensure power is going to the car charger. You may have to turn on the engine.
Once connected and on, the Freeplay will automatically be visible to your device and is
ready to be set up.
To set up with your device and in-car stereo please download the KS Freeplay App on the
App Store or from the KitSound.co.uk website and follow the instructions to complete a
successful setup.
The Freeplay will connect to your mobile device and your mobile device will then connect
to your in-car stereo via Bluetooth or aux, which the Freeplay App will explain.
Note: You will need to download both the Freeplay App* and also have an Amazon Alexa
account to access the skills on your device. To explore more skills with Alexa, search for
Amazon Meet Alexa and download the Amazon Alexa App on your iOS or Android device.

General information
Ensure your stereo is in Bluetooth or aux mode (depending on connection) for smart audio
Long press MFB (1) to mute Alexa. The LED Indicator (2) will be solid red. At this time, you
will not be able to command the Freeplay with your voice. To wake Alexa short press
MFB (1) and say your command
Once commanded the LED Indicator (2) with be a solid blue.
The LED Indicator (2) will ash blue when thinking and responding to your command
The LED Indicator (2) will ash yellow when receiving a notication. This is normally when
the app requires an update
Note: The KS Freeplay can use Alexa to make hands-free calls. However, incoming calls
should still be accepted/rejected via the vehicle’s Bluetooth stereo system.

Charging your device
Whilst powered on, you can charge up to two devices. You can either use the standard
USB Charge Out Port (4) or use the Qualcomm 3.0 Quick Charge* Port (5)
*Compatible with Qualcomm 3.0 enabled devices
