INSTALLATION Page 11
INSTALLATION
The telephone can operate in two different modes with two or four wires.
Connected with two wires, it acts as a normal multifunctional telephone and can
also make direct calls and access the switchboard services. Operating with four
wires, the telephone is always on, displays the telephone activity of the entire
system and, on pre-set switchboards, makes the services associated with smart
cards available.
Time 3000 is ready for use after the following simple operations.
CONNECTING THE HANDSET
Insert the plug of the spiral telephone cord with the short extremity into the
handset socket.
The other plug must be fitted into the smaller socket under the telephone.
The plug must be pushed well in and the flat part of the cable passed through
the notch.
CONNECTING A HEADPHONE
A headphone can be used instead of the handset.
Insert the plug of the headphone into the smaller socket under the telephone.
The plug must be pushed well in and the flat part of the cable passed through
the notch.
Use the key to engage and clear the line.
Page 12 INSTALLATION
CONNECTION TO THE TELEPHONE LINE

through the notch and connect the other end of the cable to the telephone
socket.

The second function is recalled by pressing “2F”+key; it generally activates the
switchboard functions. The function of the key is indicated with text above or
below the key.
The third function is recalled by pressing “2F”+ “CANC”+key; it generally
deactivates the switchboard functions according to the second function. Keys
with no function 3 are not included in the description.
