Battery Installation for the Remote Control
Remove the Insulating Strip from the Remote Control
Remove the insulating mylar strip from the battery if the battery is
being used for the rst time. It is located at the bottom back side
of the remote control.
Handling the Battery
Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which could •
cause re, personal injury or damage to property.
Install the battery correctly by following the polarity (+ and -) indications in the battery •
compartment.
When the battery is exhausted, the remote control will not function. •
Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.•
Do not dispose of the used battery as domestic waste. Dispose of it in accordance with the •
local regulations.
Small button cell batteries such as the one used in the remote control are easily swallowed by •
young children and this is dangerous. Keep loose button cells away from young children and
make sure that the battery holder tray is secure in the remote control. Seek medical advice if
you believe a cell has been swallowed.
Handling the Remote Control
Take care of your ngernails when you press and hold the battery release tab.•
Do not drop or cause impact to the remote control.•
Do not spill water or any liquid on the remote control.•

Using the Car Power Adapter (for in-car use)
The 12V car power adapter allows the unit to be used with vehicles that have a 12V electrical
system.
Power Supply
Using the Mains Adapter (for indoor use)
Only use the mains adapter provided with the unit. Do not use it with any other equipment.•
When the unit is not going to be used for a long period of time, disconnect the mains adapter from the mains •
socket.
When the mains adapter is plugged in, the unit is not completely disconnected from the main power supply, •
even when the power is turned o.
In order to disconnect the unit from the mains completely, the mains adapter should be disconnected from the •
mains socket outlet completely.
Disconnect the car power adapter when not in use. Not for use in 24V vehicles.•
Only use the car power adapter provided with the unit. Other car power adapters could damage the unit.•
In the interest of trac safety, do not operate this unit or view videos while driving a vehicle.•
Make sure the unit is securely fastened to prevent it from falling or ying through the air in the event of an •
accident.
When the inside of the cigarette lighter socket is dirty with ash or dust, the plug section may become hot due •
to poor contact. Be sure to clean the cigarette lighter socket before use.
After use, disconnect the 12V car power adapter from both the unit and the cigarette lighter socket.•

Using the Built-in Battery
The unit has a built-in, non-replaceable, rechargeable battery. Charge the built-in battery before
using it for the rst time. The normal charging time should be 4-5 hours. The charging light will
go out when the built-in battery is fully charged.
To Recharge the Built-in Battery
The built-in battery can only be recharged when the unit is in CHARGE mode while using the mains adapter.•
The built-in battery cannot be recharged when the unit is in power ON mode.•
The unit and the battery should not be exposed to direct sunlight and other sources of heat.•
When the built-in battery power is low, “Battery Low” will display on the screen and the unit will stop playing.•
Recharge the built-in battery before you are ready to use the unit again.•
While using the built-in battery, the environmental temperature should be 41°F (5°C) to 95°F (35°C).•
To get the longest service life out of the built-in battery, charge at room temperature.•
The built-in battery in this device may present a risk of re or chemical burn if mistreated. Do not disassemble, •
heat above 212°F (100°C), or incinerate.
When discarding the unit, local rules or laws governing the disposal of such products must be strictly followed.•

If your TV has audio/video inputs, you can connect the unit to your TV using a standard Audio/
Video cable.

Turning on the Unit
Slide the 1. CHARGE / STANDBY / ON switch on the left side of
the unit to the ON position.
The DVD logo (start-up picture) will appear on the screen.2.
After use, slide the 3. CHARGE / STANDBY / ON switch to the
STANDBY (power o) position.
Basic Playback
This instruction manual explains the basic instructions for operating this unit. Some DVDs are
produced in a manner that allows for specic or limited operation during playback. Therefore,
this unit may not respond to all operating commands. This is not a defect.
Please refer to the instructions accompanying the specic DVD in question for more information
about the options available on that DVD.

Playing a Disc

Pausing Playback (Still Mode)
Press the PAUSE button. To resume normal playback, press the PLAY button.
For a DVD, each time you press the
PAUSE button, the picture advances one frame on a DVD.
Stopping Playback
Press the STOP button at the location where you want to interrupt playback. To resume
playback at the position where the disc was stopped, press the PLAY button.
If you press the
STOP button twice, the unit’s memory will be cleared and reset the disc to the
beginning.
Fast Forward / Fast Reverse
Press the 1. SEARCH buttons while a disc is playing. Each time you press the
SEARCH button, the playback speed changes in the following sequence:

If a DVD contains title numbers, you can locate a specic title by directly selecting its title
number.

DVD Programmable Memory
You can combine your favourite titles/chapters and play them in the order of your choice.
During the DVD playback, press the 1. MEMORY button and the following display will appear.
You can use the 2.
buttons to move the highlighted bar to any item, and then press
the ENTER button. Input the title (2 digits) and chapter (2 digits) by pressing the number
buttons. (For example: 01 02, 02 05, 02 11.) It will move to the next item automatically. (Press
the PREV button or the NEXT button to move to the next / previous setup page.)
You can use the 3.

Repeating a Chapter
You can play the same chapter repeatedly.
While the DVD is playing, press the REPEAT DISC button until the

Viewing JPEG Files
This unit can play JPEG les recorded on a CD-R or CD-ROM disc (CD-RW is not recommendable).
Open the disc door.1.
Hold a JPEG le disc by its sides and carefully place onto the spindle with the label side 2.

Close the disc door. A list of folders/les will appear 3.

display a folder list. Press the

your desired le. Press the PLAY button to start
playback.

to resume playback.

PREV or NEXT button to change the picture.
You can press the • ANGLE button to rotate direction of the picture by 90°.

Some DVDs may not play in the audio language you selected. A prior language may be programmed on the •
disc.
Some DVDs may be set to display subtitles in a language other than the one you selected. A prior subtitle •
language may be programmed on the disc.
Some DVDs allow you to change subtitle selections only via the disc menu. If this is the case, press the • MENU
button and choose the appropriate subtitle language from the selection on the disc menu.
Some DVDs may not include your pre-selected language. In this case, the DVD player automatically displays •
disc menus consistent with the disc’s initial language setting.
