3. Close the battery compartment cover.
Handling the Batteries
Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which
could cause re, personal injury or damage to property.
Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.
When the batteries are exhausted, the remote will not function. Replace both batteries at
the same time with new ones.
Do not install new batteries with used ones and do not mix dierent types of batteries.
Do not dispose of used batteries as domestic waste. Dispose of them in accordance with
local regulations.
Handling the Remote Control
Take care of your ngernails when you press and hold the battery release tab.
Do not drop or cause impact to the remote control.
Do not spill water or any liquid on the remote control.
Do not place the remote control on a wet object.
Do not place the remote control under direct sunlight or near sources of excessive heat.
Remove the battery from the remote control when not in use for a long period of time,
as it could cause corrosion or battery leakage and may result in physical injury and/or
property damage including re.
Remote Control Operation Range
Point the remote control at the DVD player no more than
5 metres from the remote control sensor and within 60° of
the front of the DVD player. The operating distance may vary
depending on the brightness of the room.
Battery Installation for the Remote Control
1. Press and lift the back cover up to
open the battery compartment of the
remote control.
2. Insert two AAA size batteries. Make
sure to match the (+) and (–) ends of
the battery compartment.

Method 1: Connecting to a TV with an AV Cable

1. Use a SCART cable to connect the DVD player’s SCART output socket to a TVs SCART
input socket. (Separate audio connection is not required)
2. Turn the DVD player and your TV on. The TV will change the input source to SCART
signal automatically.
When connecting any external AV device or TV, do not connect the mains cable to the mains socket until
all other connections are complete.
1. Use the supplied AV cable to connect the DVD players AUDIO(L/R)/VIDEO sockets to
a TV’s composite audio/video input sockets. (Video = yellow, Audio Left = white, and
Audio Right = red)
2. Turn the DVD player and your TV on.
3. Adjust the input source of your TV to receive AV signal from the DVD player. Please
refer to the instruction manual of your TV for details.

Method 3: Connecting to a TV with a S-Video Cable
1. Use a S-Video cable to connect the DVD player’s S-VIDEO output socket to a TV’s
S-VIDEO input socket.
2. Use the supplied AV cable to connect the DVD players AUDIO(L/R) sockets to a TV’s
analogue audio sockets. (Audio Left = white, and Audio Right = red)
3. Turn the DVD player and your TV on.
4. Adjust the input source of your TV to receive S-Video signal from the DVD player.
Please refer to the instruction manual of your TV for details.
Method 4: Connecting to a Stereo System and TV with an AV
Cable
1. Use the supplied AV cable to connect the DVD players AUDIO(L/R)/VIDEO sockets to
a TV’s composite audio/video input sockets. (Video = yellow, Audio Left = white, and
Audio Right = red)
2. Turn the DVD player, your TV and stereo system on.
3. Adjust the input source of your TV and stereo system to receive the external signals
from the DVD player. Please refer to the instruction manuals of your TV and stereo
system for details.

Method 5: Connecting to a Stereo System and TV with an AV
Cable and SCART/S-Video Cable
1. Use the supplied AV cable to connect the DVD players AUDIO(L/R) sockets to a stereo
systems analogue audio sockets. (Audio Left = white, and Audio Right = red)
2. Connect the DVD player’s video output (SCART/S-VIDEO) socket to a TVs video input
socket by using a SCART cable/S-video cable.
3. Turn the DVD player, your TV and stereo system on.
4. Adjust the input source of your TV and stereo system to receive the external signals
from the DVD player. Please refer to the instruction manuals of your TV and stereo
system for details.

Method 6: Connecting to an Audio Receiver with a Coaxial
Cable
1. Use a coaxial cable to connect the DVD player’s COAXIAL OUT socket to an audio
receiver’s digital audio input (COAXIAL IN) socket.
2. Connect the DVD player’s video output (VIDEO/SCART/S-VIDEO) socket to a TVs video
input socket by using the supplied AV cable or a SCART cable or a S-video cable. Please
refer to method 1-3.
3. Turn the DVD player, your TV and audio receiver on.
4. Adjust the input source of your TV and audio receiver to receive the external signals
from the DVD player. Please refer to the instruction manuals of your TV and stereo
system for details.

Connecting to the Mains Socket
1. After all connection are properly completed, connect
the mains cable into the mains socket. Never make
or change any connections when the DVD player are
connected to the mains socket.
2. Press the
STANDBY button on the DVD player or on
the remote control to turn the DVD player on.
3. When the DVD player is power on and there is no disc
in it, the display panel will show “No Disc to indicate
there is no disc in the DVD Player.

The  le extensions has to be .jpg and not .jpeg
Pictures encoding must comply with JPEG/ISO format.
This DVD player can only display DCF-standard still pictures or JPEG pictures such as TIFF.
Some recorded  les may not be able to be played due to the type and format of disc or
condition of the recording.
Region Code
Both the DVD player and the discs are coded by
region. These regional codes must match in order
to play the disc. If the codes do not match, the disc
will not play.
The Region Number for this DVD player is
described on the rear panel of the DVD player.

Start Up
Press the STANDBY button to turn on the TV and select the video input connected to the
DVD player.
Switch on the related system power if the DVD player has been connected to another
device e.g. amplier equipment etc.
Basic Playback
This instruction manual explains the basic instructions for operating this unit. Some DVDs
are produced in a manner that allows for specic or limited operation during playback.
Therefore, this unit may not respond to all operating commands. This is not a defect.
Please refer to the instructions accompanying the specic DVD in question for more
information about the options available on that DVD.
Unless otherwise stated, all operations described are based on Remote Control use.
Playing a Disc
1. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc tray, place a disc into the disc tray
with the label facing up.
For a double-sided disc, load the side which you want to play facing down.
There are two dierent disc sizes. Place the disc in the correct guide on the disc tray.
If the disc is out of the guide, it may damage the disc and cause the DVD player to
malfunction.
Do not place a disc which is unplayable in this DVD player.
2. Press the
OPEN/CLOSE button to close the disc tray, the playback will automatically
start.
Some discs may not playback automatically, you can press the
PL AY button to
start playback.
3. Depending on the disc, a menu may appear on the TV screen by pressing the MENU
button. Press the
buttons to select menu options and press the ENTER
button to start, or press digits to select menu options directly.
Stop Playback
1. Press the STOP button to go to pre-stop mode, the TV screen will display . With
some discs, the DVD player can recall the stopped location, such as on DVDs and on
audio CDs.
2. Press the
PL AY button to resume playback from the location where playback was
stopped or from the beginning of the disc.
3. Press the
STOP button twice to stop completely.

Previous and Next
1. During playing, press the PREV button to go back to the start of the previous
chapter. Each press of this button will skip a chapter until the start of the disc.
2. Each press of the
NEXT button during playing will skip the current chapter and
play the next one.
Fast Forward and Fast Reverse
1. Press the F.FWD button or the F.REV button to fast forward / fast reverse
through the disc. Each time the F.FWD button or the F.REV button is pressed,
the fast forward / fast reverse motion speed changes. There are 5 levels of speed
available: x2, x4, x8, x16 and x32.
2. Press the
PL AY button to resume normal playback.
Slow
1. During playback, press the SLOW button to enter slow forward status. There are 5
speeds available: 1/ 2, 1/ 4, 1/8, 1/16 and 1/32.
2. Press the
PL AY button to resume normal playback.
Step
1. During playback, press the STEP button to play the motion picture frame by frame.
2. Press the STEP button again to advance by one frame (step).
3. Press the
PL AY button to resume normal playback.
Some discs do not have this function.
Pause Playback
1. Press the PAUSE button to pause playback (still mode). The sound will be muted
during still mode.
2. Press the
PL AY button to resume normal playback.
Title
While playing the disc, press the TITLE button to go to title menu if the function is available
in the disc.
Volume Adjustment
1. Press the VOL +/– buttons to adjust the volume.
2. Press the MUTE button to switch the sound o
, the player will display . Press the
MUTE button again or the VOL +/– buttons to cancel this function.

Advanced Playback
The following functions are applicable only to DVD discs. If other disc formats are played,
the screen display and operation will be dierent.
OSD
Press the OSD button and the screen will display some information about the disc, such as:
“Playing Time”, “Chapter Number and “Playback Status.
Zoom
During the playback of the DVD / VCD discs, press the ZOOM button to enlarge pictures.
Each time the ZOOM button is pressed, the picture enlarges in sequence (ZOOMx2,
ZOOMx4 and ZOOMx1).
Repeat
Press the REPEAT button repeatedly to select dierent repeat modes.
Press Once
Chapter (Repeat Chapter)
Press Twice
Title (Repeat Title)
Press Three Times
All (Repeat All)
Press Four Times
O (All repeat functions are cancelled)
A-B Repeat
Repeat a section between points A and B within a Title / Chapter / Track.
1. Press the A-B button to choose a starting point A.
2. Press the A-B button again to set an ending point B and complete the setting. The
selected section A-B will be repeated.
3. Press the A-B button the third time to cancel and exit, the Repeat OFF will display on
the screen.
Angle
Press the ANGLE button repeatedly to switch between dierent camera angles that are
available in the disc.
Audio Channel
Press the AUDIO button repeatedly to select dierent audio languages.

PAL / NTSC
Press the N/P button to switch among PAL, NTSC and AUTO (multi).
L/R
Press the L/R button to switch the audio output among L/L, R/R and L/R.
Video Output
Press the VIDEO button to select the video output mode among S-Video and RGB.
Program
1. Press the PROG button to display the program playback window, 20 tracks or chapters
can be programmed.
2. Press the
buttons to select your desired track / title / chapter and then press
the ENTER button to con rm.
3. Press the
buttons to select your desired track/title/chapter then press the
STOP button to delete a selected setting.
4. Press the
PL AY button to play after you have  nished the program setting.
Press the PROG button directly to return to normal play mode. In this case, the
program is not con rmed.
Press the CLEAR button to erase all programmed track/title/chapter in memory.
Subtitle Language
Press the SUBTITLE button repeatedly to switch between di erent subtitle languages that
are available in the disc.
JPEG Disc Playback
When a JPEG disc is inserted into the DVD player, an automatic slide show is launched.
Press the ANGLE button repeatedly to change the slideshow e ect.
Press the ZOOM button to enlarge pictures. Each time the ZOOM button is pressed, the
picture enlarges in sequence (150%, 200%, 25%, 50% and 100%). Press the
buttons to scroll around and view the enlarged picture.
Press the MENU button to display a  le mode menu. Press the
buttons or the
0-9 buttons to select, and then press the ENTER button to con rm or play.

GOTO
1. During playback, press the GOTO button to search the title / chapter / track in the disc.
2. Press the GOTO button again to display the search menu.
3. Press the
buttons repeatedly to select the select the item / time / title / chapter.
4. Press the 0-9 buttons to select the search item / time / title / chapter, for example:
Time search
To search 16 min 50 seconds:
Input 1, 6, 5 and 0.
To search 1 hr 14 min:
Input 1, 1, 4, 0 and 0.
Title / Chapter GOTO (Only DVD)
To GOTO Title 1 / Chapter 2:
Input 1 in the highlight title column. Press the
button and input 2.
5. Press the ENTER button to play.
For some DVD discs which cannot be searched, invalid will be appear on TV screen.
Input the time, title and chapter of the disc to search.
