Battery Installation for the Remote Control
Remove the Insulating Strip from the Remote Control
Remove the insulating mylar strip from the battery if the battery is
being used for the rst time. It is located at the bottom back side
of the remote control.
Handling the Battery
• Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which could
cause re, personal injury or damage to property.
• Install the battery correctly by following the polarity (+ and -) indications in the battery
compartment.
• When the battery is exhausted, the remote control will not function.
• Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.
• Do not dispose of the used battery as domestic waste. Dispose of it in accordance with the
local regulations.
• Small button cell batteries such as the one used in the remote control are easily swallowed by
young children and this is dangerous. Keep loose button cells away from young children and
make sure that the battery holder tray is secure in the remote control. Seek medical advice if
you believe a cell has been swallowed.
Handling the Remote Control
• Take care of your ngernails when you press and hold the battery release tab.
• Do not drop or cause impact to the remote control.
• Do not spill water or any liquid on the remote control.
• Do not place the remote control on a wet object.
• Do not place the remote control under direct sunlight or near sources of excessive heat.
• Remove the battery from the remote control when not in use for a long period of time, as it
could cause corrosion or battery leakage and may result in physical injury and/or property
damage including re.

How to Charge the Battery Pack
1. Connect the DC power cable to the DVD Player’s
DC IN socket.
2. Connect the AC power adapter to the DC IN
socket on the battery pack.
Remote Control Operation Range
Point the remote control at the DVD Player no more than
5 metres from the remote control sensor and within 60° of
the front of the DVD Player. The operating distance may
vary depending on the brightness of the room.

2. Slide the pack until the battery is locked securely in
position.

• The battery will NOT charge while the DVD Player is turned on and is being used.
• Turn the power o when attaching or removing the battery pack.
• Use the supplied AC power adapter to charge the battery pack.
• The lifetime of the battery pack is limited. Power is slowly drained when not in use. If the battery pack does not
last long even after a full charge, you might have to replace it with a new one.
To remove the pack, press the Release button, then slide it away.
• Ensure the battery is charged for a minimum of 6 hours before rst time use.
The power LED indicator illuminates red during charging. When the battery is
fully charged, the LED indicator illuminates green.
• Normal play time for the fully charged battery is approx 2.5 hours.

Using in a Car
Using the Car Power Adapter (for in-car use)
The included 12V car power adapter is designed for use with vehicles that have a 12V electrical
system.
• Only use the 12V car power adapter provided with the unit. Do not use in 24V vehicles. Other car adapters
could damage the unit, or even your vehicle.
• Only use the included 12V car power adapter. Do not use it with any other equipment.
• In the interest of trac safety, drivers should not operate the unit or view videos while driving.
• When the inside of the 12V car socket is dirty with ash or dust, the plug section may become hot due to poor
contact. Be sure to clean the 12V car socket before use.
• After use, disconnect the 12V car power adapter from both the unit and cigarette lighter socket.
• If the unit is not properly attached to a vehicle, it may become airborne in the event of an accident and cause
damage, injury, or death.
• Check your local trac laws for rules governing the use of video devices in vehicles.

Mounting in a Car
Use the supplied mounting straps to install the DVD Player and Monitor on the back of the
vehicles headrests. Tightly wrap the mounting strap around the headrest.
1. Thread both strap ends through the strap eyelets.
Make sure the buckles are properly assembled to
avoid accidental loosening.
Always remember to lock the clips and tighten
the straps to ensure the safety of your passengers.

Using Indoor
Using the Mains Adapter (for indoor use)
The mains adapter (DC12V, 0.83A output) supplied is only for using the DVD Player or the Monitor
separately.
For using the DVD Player and the Monitor together, one more adapter is needed and sold
separately. Please contact Partmaster for ordering the adapter.
Using the DVD Player and the Monitor together
• Mains adapter for using the DVD Player and the Monitor separately is not included. Please use a proper mains
adapter with correct electrical rating and output plug size.
• Turn o the unit before unplugging the mains adapter from the unit to avoid the unit being damaged.
• When the unit is not going to be used for a long period of time, disconnect the mains adapter from the mains
socket.
• The mains socket must be located near the unit and should be easily accessible. If a malfunction occurs,
disconnect the plug from the mains socket at once.
• When the mains adapter is plugged in, the unit is not completely disconnected from the main power source,
even when the unit is turned o.

Watching a DVD on the DVD Player and the Monitor
You can watch the same DVD on the DVD Player and the Monitor.
1. Connect the DVD Player and the Monitor using the 3.5mm AV Cable (included).
2. Turn on the DVD Player and the Monitor.
3. Play a DVD on the DVD Player; the Monitor will play the same DVD at the same time.
Connecting a TV (for the DVD Player Only)
If your TV has Audio/Video inputs, you can connect the DVD Player to your TV using the 3.5mm to
RCA AV Cable (included).
Watching a DVD on your TV
1. Connect your TV to the DVD Player using the 3.5mm to RCA AV Cable (included).
2. Turn on the DVD Player .
3. Turn on the TV and follow the instructions included with it to play the DVD.
• Make sure to use the correct Audio/Video cable. Connecting the plugs incorrectly may cause a weak signal.
• If your TV does not have Audio/Video inputs, you will need to purchase an RF modulator (sold separately) and
follow the instructions included with it to connect the unit to your TV.

• If you have a stereo VCR, make sure you set it to stereo mode.
• Due to copyright protection, DVD movies cannot be copied. If you copy a DVD movie onto a videotape, the
resulting copy will be unclear, with poor sound quality. This is NOT caused by a defective DVD system.
• Make sure to use the correct Audio/Video cable. Connecting the plugs incorrectly may cause a weak signal.
• If you have a mono VCR, the volume level from the speakers will be low.

Using the Monitor with Other Devices while Playing a DVD on the
DVD Player
You can use a game console or other video device on the Monitor while playing a DVD on the
DVD Player.
Playing Games or Watching Videos on the Monitor while Playing DVDs on the
DVD Player
1. Connect only the power connector between the DVD Player and the Monitor. Do not connect
the Audio/Video portion of the DC-AV cable.
2. Connect the Monitor to the game console / video device using a standard AV cable (not
included).
3. Turn on the DVD Player, the Monitor and the game console / video device.
4. Play a DVD on the DVD Player.
5. Use the Monitor for the game console / video device.
• Make sure to use the correct Audio/Video cable. Connecting the plugs incorrectly may cause a weak signal.
• If you have a mono VCR, the volume level from the speakers will be low.

Using Earphones
Turn down the volume before connecting the earphones. Slowly raise the volume with the
earphones on until you reach your desired volume. When earphones are connected, the speaker
is automatically disabled.

Both the DVD Player and the discs are coded by region.
These regional codes must match in order to play the
disc. If the codes do not match, the disc will not play.
The Region Number for this DVD Player is described on
the rear panel of the DVD Player.

Turning On the Unit
1. Slide the POWER switch on the DVD Player to the ON position. Slide the POWER switch on
the Monitor to the ON position.
2. The start-up picture will appear on both screens.
3. After use, slide the POWER switch on the DVD Player to the OFF position. Slide the POWER
switch on the Monitor to the OFF position.
Basic Playback
This instruction manual explains the basic instructions for operating this unit. Some DVDs are
produced in a manner that allows for specic or limited operation during playback. Therefore,
this unit may not respond to all operating commands. This is not a defect.
Please refer to the instructions accompanying the specic DVD in question for more information
about the options available on that DVD.

Playing a Disc
1. Slide the POWER switch to the ON position. Slide the POWER switch on the Monitor to the
ON position.
2. Press the OPEN button and unfold the LCD panel to access the DVD disc door.
3. Hold the disc by its sides and carefully place onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
Gently push the disc down until you hear a click.
4. Gently push to close the disc door. It takes a short while for your unit to load the disc. After
loading, for most DVDs, the unit will automatically display the main menu or start playing. If
the unit does not automatically start playing the DVD, press the
PLAY/SEL. button.
Pausing Playback (Still Mode)
Press the button to pause playback. To resume normal playback, press the PLAY/SEL. button.
Each time you press the
button, the picture advances one frame.
Stopping Playback
Press the button at the location where you want to interrupt playback. To resume playback at
the position where the disc was stopped, press the PLAY/SEL. button.
If you press the
button twice, the unit’s memory will be cleared and reset the disc to the
beginning.
Fast Forward / Fast Reverse
1. Press the buttons while a disc is playing. Each time you press the buttons, the
playback speed changes in the following sequence:

PLAY/SEL. button when you reach the desired point to resume normal playback.

• If only one audio format is recorded on the DVD, the number does not change.
• It takes about 2 seconds for playback to continue in the new audio format.
• If only one language is recorded, the language does not change.
• The number of languages recorded diers depending on the disc.
Skip (Forward / Reverse)
1. Press the button to move to previous chapters/titles for a DVD; and to move back to the
previous track for a CD.
2. Press the
button to move forward to next chapters/titles for a DVD; and to move to the
next track for a CD.
3. For audio CDs, use the number buttons on the remote control to play the desired track
immediately.
Volume Adjustment
1. Turn the VOLUME CONTROL to adjust the volume.
2. If you wish to switch the sound o, press the
button. Press the button again to resume
audio listening.
Repeat Viewing
While a disc is playing, press the 1/All button repeatedly to select the following options:
Chapter
: Repeat Chapter
Title
: Repeat Title
O
: Repeat O
Displaying Scene Information
1. While a disc is playing, press the Info. button to display a number of times, the title number,
chapter number, and other information on the screen.
2. To resume normal playback, press the Info. button again.
Audio Selection
On some DVDs, the sound is recorded in two or more formats. Follow the directions below to
select the preferred language and sound system.
While a disc is playing, press the
button repeatedly to select the desired audio format.
Subtitle Selection
While a DVD is playing, press the button repeatedly to select the desired subtitle language.
You can turn subtitles o by pressing the
button repeatedly until the
Subtitle O
is
displayed.
• This function can only be used for discs on which subtitles have been
recorded in multiple languages.
• On some DVDs, subtitles are activated from the main menu of the DVD.
Press the MENU button to activate the main menu.
