CAUTION: Covert recording may not be legal in your state. Please check the legalities
on covert video/audio before using this camera.
Before you setup camera:
1. First of all you need Wi-Fi network in order to setup, operate, and view the camera.
Also be sure your Wi-Fi connects to the internet. (Because if you want remote control
and view the camera over the internet, your Wi-Fi network must connect to the
internet.)
2. Secondly you need an iPhone or Android smart phone to setup & operate camera.
3. You need to download ‘BVCAM” from your phone’s App store and install the
BVCAM to your smart phone.
4. Before you start setup up the camera, you should know your Wi-Fi network’s SSID
and login password.
5. Locate the reset button (Pic on Page 3). Use a pen or a small paper clip to press the
reset button, hold 5 seconds till the light turns off. Then release the reset button.
The light will blink blue/red when ready to set up.
6. Locate the device ID (BVCAM- ID). It’s a silver sticker with a QR code located on
the body of DVR board.
7. System support 32GB micro SD card for storing video.
Setup camera for Access point or Wifi : (iPhone)
1. On your smart phone, enable Wi-Fi then search for Wi-Fi networks in your area.
2. You will see the IP camera on the WiFi list. It will show up as a character/numerical
name format (PQ1C854-F1C89CA4C9CA, for example), Connect to that IP camera.
3. If you do not see the IP camera under your Wi-Fi device list, please reset the camera
and wait 30 seconds, then search again.
4. Open “BVCAM” on your phone.
5. Press the (+) sign > click “Add new online Camera”, > click “QR Scan” > scan the
QR Code on the bottom of the clock. When the QR Code is read correctly your phone
will vibrate and go back the previous page. Then click “OK”.
6. Now you will see the camera icon, click the camera icon, (Skip change PW)you
should see the camera live image. Now your smart phone is connecting to the camera
access point (AP).
7. Then you need set camera to connect to your Wifi network, Go back BVCAM main
screen, Click the cogwheel next to the camera icon > Click “Device Settings” > click
“WiFi Config” > choose your WiFi network from the list > input the password, then
click OK. >Device reboot.
8. Now the camera will reboot and your phone will disconnect from the IP Camera’s AP
network. Wait 60 secs then refresh the page. You should see the camera icon and
“Online” displayed in blue. Your camera is now connected Wifi network.
Setup camera for Access point or Wifi: (Android)

“Online” displayed in blue. Your camera is now connected Wifi network.
Setup Motion Recording:
1. After your smart phone connect the camera either by WiFi network or the
cameras AP network, Open “BVCAM” and press the cogwheel on the right side
of the camera icon. Then press ”Device Settings (iPhone)” or “Advance Config
(Android)”.
2. Press “Alarm Config” > Turn on “Alarm Schedule” > Press “OK”
3. Turning on “Alarm Schedule” will turn on Camera’s Notifications. Scroll down
and turn off “Push Notifications” and “On-Screen Display”, if you don’t want the
camera send alert notification to your phone when the camera see the motion.
4. Press “SD Card Record Config”. Press the “Record” tab and change record mode
to “On Alarm” for motion detection recording.
5. Scroll down and click “OK”. Wait 60 Seconds then unplug the cameras power
and plug it back in to restart it.
6. To view playback, press “Record” at the bottom of the main screen, choose
“Remote SD Card” (2

icon) > Choose Camera name (Cam is default) >
Download. Video’s will need to be downloaded before viewing. Then Press the
white down arrow to view videos downing and blue down arrow to view
downloaded videos.
Set up Date/Time:
1. Open “BVCAM” and press the cogwheel on the right side of the screen.
2. Press ”Device Settings (iPhone)” or “Advance Config (Android)” > Press “Time
Setting” > press the “Time Zone” tab and select the following settings to set the
camera in your time zone.
For Eastern time choose “(GMT) England”…
For Central time choose “(GMT –1:00) Azores Island” …
For Mountain time choose “(GMT –2:00) Mid Atlantic” …
For Central time choose “(GMT –3:00) Guyana” …
3. Press “OK” to save.
Troubleshooting:
1. Camera not responding and says “Device Offline” during setup:
Be sure the camera connect to WiFi or AP network, and says “online” in blue letters.
2. Phone connected to camera AP, but BVCAM App says “Offline”:
After phone connect the camera’s AP, Make sure the icon at the top of your phone
screen displays a WiFi symbol, not 4G/LTE symbol. You may have to disconnect
from the cameras AP and reconnect.
3. BVCAM App not allowing you to open “Device Settings/Advance Config”:
Be sure the camera connect to WiFi or AP network, and says “online” in blue letters
4. Camera keeps saying “Device Offline” during Wifi set up:
Be sure you are within 30 feet from your wireless router. The closer you are the better.
5. After setting up WiFi my camera is not connecting:

6. The video feed is slow and choppy:
Connect to a Wi-Fi network, Try again. You can view this camera on 3G/4G but
depending on your data coverage is may be slow or may not connect at all.
