Instructions for use
Set up
1. Remove all packaging material from the Select and place on a stable, level surface, close to a mains socket, out of direct sunlight
and away from sources of excess heat, dust, moisture, humidity, or strong magnetic eld
2. Connect the plug to your mains socket
Power source
Please only use the supplied adaptor. Attempting to operate this system from any other power source may cause damage to the
system and invalidate your warranty.
Getting started
When plugged in, the LED display (15) will light up and the Select will automatically enter standby mode.
General operation
Press Standby (1/A) to turn the Select on or to put into sleep mode
While in standby mode the LCD display (15) backlight will be dimmed, and pressing any button once will turn the LCD display
backlight on
FM mode
1. When the Select is turned on, make sure the Antenna (11) is extended and placed in good position
2. Short press Mode (2/I) until you see an FM frequency on the LCD display (15)
3. To change station, short press Next/Previous Track (6/7/E) to change the frequency
4. Long press Next/Previous Track (6/7/E) for two seconds to automatically scan
Note: When in FM mode, clicking Play Mode (L) on the remote will switch between Stereo and Mono
Setting a preset
1. Short press Memory (M) and short press Preset controls (G) to go through the list of numbers
2. Once you have found your desired number for your desired station, short press Memory (M) again
to save that number to that station
3. To revisit your saved channels short press Preset controls (G) until you nd your desired number

Wireless mode
1. Short press Mode (2/I) until you see BT on the LCD display (15)
2. The Select will automatically enter pairing mode and BT will be ashing
3. Turn on your iOS, Android, or Windows device’s Bluetooth, and choose the speaker name ‘KS SELECT’ from the list of found devices
4. If your device asks for a passkey then enter the digits ‘0000’ and press OK
5. When pairing is successful the BT will be solid and show the time

NFC connection
When the Select and your device are in pairing mode, hover your device over the NFC position (16) for several seconds and it will connect.
Note: The Select will automatically pair to the last known paired device. To forget or change a device, long press Pair (O) and it will
disconnect from the previous device and re-enter pairing mode.
Playing music in wireless mode
Once connected, you can now play music from your device through the Select. Use the controls on your device to change
Track/Volume or you can use the remote or track controls on the Select.
To change track, short press Next/Previous track (6/7/E)
To play and pause, short press Play/Pause (3/D)
CD mode
1. Short press Mode (2/I) until you see CD on the LCD display (15)
2. Short press Open/Close CD (10/J) to open the CD door (14)
3. Place CD in and short press Open / Close CD (10/J) to close the CD door (14)
4. The Select will start playing the rst song on the CD. To change track short press Next/Previous track (6/7/E), and to Play/Pause
track, short press Play/Pause (3/D)
5. Short pressing Stop (4/O) will stop the CD, and pressing Play/Pause (3/D) will restart the CD from track one
6. To eject CD, short press Open/Close CD (10/J) and remove the CD
Note: When in CD mode, you can use the remote to repeat tracks, the whole CD, and randomise track selection.
Repeat one track Short press Play mode (L) once and a half circle will appear in the top right hand corner of the
LCD display (15), showing the track will be repeated
Repeat whole CD Short press Play mode (L) twice and a full circle will appear in the top right hand corner of the
LCD display (15), showing the CD will be repeated
Randomise CD Short press Play mode (L) 3 times and the letters RDM will appear on the right hand side of the
LCD display (15), showing the CD will be randomised

EQ
Adjusting the balance means you can change the audio depending on what you are listening to. The EQ presets are Rock/Classic/
Pop & Jazz. To change EQ setting, short press EQ (C) until you reach your desired EQ shown on the LCD display (15).
Mute
Short press Mute (H) to mute the speaker.
X-Bass
Short press X-Bass (F) to put the speaker into extra bass mode. Press again to go into normal mode.
Setting the time
1. In standby mode, long press Clock (M) and you will see ‘24-H’ on the LCD display (15)
2. Short press Next track (E) to choose between the two time settings (24 hour/2 hour), and short press Clock (M) to conrm
3. Once chosen, the hour number will be ashing. Short press Next track (E) until you reach your desired hour and short press
Clock (M) to conrm
4. Then the minutes number will be ashing. Short press Next track (E) until you reach your desired minute and short press
Clock (M) to conrm
Volume
Short press Volume down (8/P) or Volume up (9/P) to increase or decrease the volume of the speaker.
Aux mode
1. Short press Mode (2/I) until the LCD display (15) shows the time, with ‘AUDIO IN’ at the top
2. Plug an aux-in cable into the Aux-in port (12) and the other end of the cable into your device
3. You can now play and control audio from your device
Note: You can control the volume from the Select and the remote in Aux-in mode, but not your device. You can only play/pause and
skip tracks through your device.
USB mode
1. Short press Mode (2/I) until you see USB on the LCD display (15)
2. Insert your USB stick into the USB port (5) and the Select will automatically play the rst song
3. To change track, short press Next/Previous track (6/7/E), and to play/pause short press Play/Pause (3/D)
Settings
Sleep
You can choose the amount of time before the Select goes into sleep or standby mode.
1. Short press Sleep (B) until you reach your desired sleep time shown on the LCD display (15)
2. The Select will then be set to sleep at that time
3. To turn sleep o, short press Sleep (B) until you reach SL00
Note: The sleep options are in minutes. For example: SL60 means the Select will go into standby mode after 60 minutes.

Get the Select wet
Drop the Select as this will invalidate your warranty
Open up the Select. There are no user serviceable parts inside
Expose the Select to extreme temperatures or rapid changes of hot to cold or vice versa
